Never thought I'd leave a good review for a laundromat, ever, but Transformation Surprise surely earned it! The man working there was friendly and informative, letting us know payment options (quarters, pay range app, and a change machine on site), and prices/estimated time for the different machines. Fit a full load in a small washer for $4.75, and then everything was dry in 20 mins for $1.25. Everything was clean, everything worked, and the machines were super fast. I was in a pinch with a wedding just two weeks away — my bridesmaid dress was too tight in the bust, and another tailor had not only failed to fix it but added a completely different fabric. I brought it to Claire, and she worked absolute magic. She was fast, professional, and made the dress look and feel like new. Her attention to detail and quick turnaround saved the day. “It is a good laundromat. You can use cash or debit card to use the machines. Sometime it gets busy and other times there's not too many people there. Some litter around the area on the ground behind the businesses there.”
“I been going to this laundromat for years I first went to it before the light rail was there it was a nice Asian guy who owned it he was cool he didn't put up with no shit . The place was always Clean. Fast forward started going again I was there tge day that opened uo the light rail and had celebration new owners a couple from Ukrain very nice very clean. They also didn't tale no shit. They kept the place clea. Amsafe and affordable . Fast forward 2025 new owner. Also great experience as far as laundromat are concerned this is the best place in the area the owners have all been very nice they stand by there business keep the place clean and safe . I recommend this place if your in this area or heck I ain't going to lie . I go out of my area to this place because I know it's always clean always a great place to do laundry. If you can't find a parking spot there is side street parking on the otherside of the building and it has a back entrance. Definetly one of the better laundromat in the area”
“I got some ski bibs in a color I loved online and I wanted them for touring but when I received them they were tight on the legs, loose on the stomach area, but most importantly I felt that they resisted a lot with upward knee movement. I've never done alterations on outdoor clothes ever so I didn't know what to expect, and this was not a straightforward alteration, but I decided to go for it. Its some of the best money I spent on gear ever. I was so happy with how they look. The alteration work was astonishing. It could fool anyone that that's how I got them from the store. They were able to reuse fabric from the same bub since I got them on a larger size and they fit my proportions perfectly. I did had to go to the store to get my measurements right a couple times. From the initial iteration they looked amazingly and got my proportions right, I was just still picky on how much knee movement I wanted to be able to achieve and they were soooo patient with me and they gave me so much movement freedom at the end. I've never felt this good on goretex! I will go every time I need technical alterations.”

“Great place to do laundry. Staff is friendly and washer rates are competitive with other laundromats in the area. Dryers are $0.25/6 minutes, but they work really well and are spacious! A full load takes 18-24 minutes to dry on medium.I highly recommend Southwest Laundry if you need a clean and safe laundromat in the area. ?”

“We are from out of town and needed two suits to be dry cleaned for a family function with a 2 day turnaround time (Thurs-Sat). We tried multiple dry cleaners in the area and all of them said no, that wasn't enough time. The sweet lady at the counter said yes, and didn't even charge us any additional fees. When we came back on Saturday to pick up the suits, she recognized our car and had our clothes ready when we walked in. She was amazing and we will definitely come back. Thank you!”

“Small place with nice, new equipment.
Machines are fast and efficient, so your wash cycles take less time and you don't have to crank the heat up on the dryers to get your clothes dry.
The site is card-only and remains unattended. So if you are expecting someone to fold your clothes or feel like whining about your love-stained sheets, your little Karen-voice will be lost shouting into the void.
If that's more your style, maybe save us all the frustration and just buy a washing board and stay home.
Otherwise, come on down :)”

“I was a little hesitant at first to leave my garments here. When I asked the owner whether my vintage fabrics could handle dry cleaning, he told me, “If there is no care tag, your guess is as good as mine on the fabric.” Since all of my dresses were from the 60s and 70s without tags, I worried they might get damaged.
Much to my relief, when I picked up my eight dresses a week later, they all looked as good as new! I’m very grateful for the care taken with them and will feel much more comfortable bringing in more vintage pieces in the future.”

“Overall easy, clean laundromat experience. The owner, Julio, is very friendly, and the machines were quick and easy to use. Prices are a bit high and our clothes did pick up scented detergent smells from the machines (even though we used our own unscented detergent), but I still plan to go back again and am so glad such a warm and welcoming space is in the neighborhood!”
