“This is the best laundromat I’ve ever been to!! It is very clean and has large TV’s. All the machines are in working order, and have easy directions. One of the men who works there showed me how to use the machines, recommended dry times, and was very helpful. What a positive experience. Will definitely keep coming back.”

“Great place to do laundry. Staff is friendly and washer rates are competitive with other laundromats in the area. Dryers are $0.25/6 minutes, but they work really well and are spacious! A full load takes 18-24 minutes to dry on medium.I highly recommend Southwest Laundry if you need a clean and safe laundromat in the area. ?”

“My favorite spot! If it's busy, I'll gladly come back another time. All machines are clean and on working condition at all times. Usually there's an attendant there, but if there isn't, there's a number you can call and someone will be there within 15 min. Best time to go is Wednesday mornings!”

“Repair itself came out great. However my jacket did not appear to have been laundered/DWR treatment like I signed up for. When I asked them about this, they said they "didn't have that noted when checked in", even though I specifically made sure to confirm it when I dropped the jacket off. I'm not local, and told them it was unfortunate that I'd have to ship the jacket back to them again out of pocket for this service, upon which they ghosted me.”

“Staff on site ensures machines always work , place is clean, no unruly guests or kids running around. We've come here for years off and on. Week ago we traveled on 2 buses and train to come here because it's a safe, clean, awesome, affordable space with staff there to ensure it. We have loved this laundry mat for a long time.. Want a good chuckle? Read the sign on the north wall above the dryer s ?. Keep up the good work owners. We often do blankets that need washed here then rder to go from Domino's across the street a cheap 6$ each 2 pizzas after and head home. Nice location accessible right across from Othello 1 line stop and bus stops are in front of here to. Overpriced tacos right next door if ya like ;)”

“It does the job! People are helpful and it’s a decent place. I think it needs a bit more warmth to it, some comfort…more seating, there’s not much of it.The location is great, a lot of food and other stuff around. Brewery right down the way! At least my stuff can be left there while I have a beer and it’s safe.”

“My sister recommended this place for tailoring/alterations and I had a wonderful experience. The owner did a rather difficult alteration on my maid of honor dress and it came out perfect. Very reasonable price for the work and turn around time is great!”

“4 stars = enthusiastic reviewAfter Northgate Cleaners, I wasn’t so eager to try another dry cleaner. Additionally, the row of stores Cotton Cleaners & Tailors is in is a little sketch, tbh. But I finally decided I’d stalled long enough. The cleaners was a little small when I walked in. There was a woman with a kindly aspect at a sewing machine to the side of the door and a gentleman hanging clothes further into the store, both working quietly. The woman stopped working shortly after I arrived and went around to the counter. Influenced by the calm atmosphere, I politely showed her my items. A wrinkled silk blouse (I think she gave a little appreciative murmur), an old wool sweater with some long-crusted trace of food on the cuff, and a merino wool sweater I wear to work.Showing her the work sweater, I took a moment to explain that the badge I wore had a rough clip on the side. When I had worn it around my neck the friction had caused some noticeable pilling over the breastbone, and I asked her if there was anything she could do. The woman disappeared briefly and came back with a device in her hand. (It looked a little like a hybrid between a Clarisonic face brush and a men’s electric razor.) She turned on the device and, with my sweater spread on the counter, brushed at the pilling so delicately I couldn’t detect any change at first. After a while I saw just a little of the pilling come away, and the woman checked with me to see if this met with my satisfaction. I was quite excited (truthfully, the pilling that had developed on my sweaters had been bothering me like a toothache) and responded in the affirmative. I gave my name and number, was informed I could pick up the clothing in less than a week and would pay at that time.Circumstances caused me to pick up my clothing a day late, but I was eager to see how they turned out. Everything was clean and pressed, and my work sweater was smooth like new. Altogether, I paid $28, and quite happily. I’ve taken more clothes there and will pick them up in a few days.Drop-off and pickup are easy, the people at the store (though I guess I’ve only interacted with one person so far) are attentive and pleasant, the atmosphere is calm and cozy, and the price is affordable. I really like this place!”

“I have been using the services of this business for years and I am completely satisfied with the way they do things. I cook a lot and this frequently shows on my clothes. They do a remarkable job removing all the stains. The current owner is a very pleasant and cheerful person and it's always a pleasure to go there.”

“Glad to have made the drive. Drove from Tacoma to Seattle for Jay's Cleaners because they have listed 'leather cleaning' to select products on their business listing in Yelp. There was a choice between Jay and another business that was in Seattle but in the end Jay was the right choice. I received quality customer service, with consideration by the store manager, for the drive made to their business on not being able to pick up on the day my order was ready. The suede jacket was bought from a thrift store however after the cleaning it did not look at all it was from a thrift store.Service: Leather & suede cleaning”

“Recently, I had the opportunity to revisit a local laundromat that I hadn't frequented in a while. The place had undergone some noticeable transformations under its new management. The space was noticeably clean and clear, giving it a modern, almost refurbished feel. The same old familiar washers and dryers, however, seemed to have been retained in the renovation. One of the initial changes I spotted was the updated pricing. The laundromat, it appears, has hiked its prices, perhaps to reflect the facelift it has received. Operating the machines has remained a constant theme at this laundromat, with the staff repeating the same instructions over and over. As a regular, I found myself yearning for some written instructions posted around the facility; it would have been extremely convenient, especially on days when I preferred a non-interactive laundry day.For those who haven't been here in a while, the process to get started is slightly different. You need to head towards the dryers to purchase your laundry card, which thankfully accepts both cash and Visa. Once you've loaded the funds onto your card, you can return to the washing area and begin your laundry. The pricing is tiered based on water temperature. For a large load, the starting price is $8.75 for cold water, with the price increasing as you opt for warmer temperatures. I didn't personally use the smaller machines, but from what I overheard, the cost starts at around $6.The dryers operate on a pay-per-use basis, charging 50 cents for five-minute increments. It's slightly inconvenient as you need to remove and reinsert your laundry card each time you want to add funds. A peculiar thing to note is the hard stop at 7:30 pm on Sundays; I'm unsure of the exact timings for the rest of the week.Margaret, the laundromat attendant, deserves a special mention. She was extremely helpful and thorough with her instructions, making the process a lot smoother. The laundromat offers a drop-off and pick-up service from Monday to Friday, though I didn't avail of this service. Given the overall pricing at the laundromat, I wouldn't be surprised if it comes at a premium cost.In summary, while I appreciate the modernized look and cleanliness of the laundromat, I feel that the pricing is a bit steep for what's essentially a cosmetic upgrade. Clear, posted instructions could enhance the user experience, reducing the need for repeated verbal directives. I hope that the management considers these suggestions and looks at re-evaluating their pricing structure.”
