A cute lil bookshop right in front of Pike Place Market! I stumbled upon this bookshop while walking to Pike Place and I just had to stop by. It's a tradition of mine to buy a book and bookmark while on a trip so this was a serendipitous find. This quaint spot feels like something out of a book with two levels to skim through many volumes of books. Upstairs, they had little nooks where you could cozy up with a book and look out the window to see a view of Pike Place. A great find in Seattle!

Amazing bookstore with the best decor and very friendly staff! I was sad they were out of the book selection I wanted but that’s ok! Great anarchist bookstore with a decent Black Studies selection too!!

Interesting little bookstore right by the start of the Market. It's packed full of unique and hard to find books. Books on political and social interests are in the forefront, leftist slant. They still require masks, but it's a pretty small, old space. Cool stop, wish it was a little bigger.

Awesome selection of zines and lefty books! All the people who are complaining in the reviews about having to wear a mask need to chill. If you don’t want to wear one, nobody is making you enter this bookstore! If you want to go in, be considerate of other people and wear a mask. Not difficult.

This place was a cultural staple to me when I was living on the streets as a teenager. I saved up money to buy a shirt from there like 13 years ago. Today I'm visiting and showed up an hour before closing but they were already closed. It was the only thing I wanted to do in Seattle. I hope everything things okay just wanted to say I miss it ?

Cute place to step away from the busyness of pike’s place market and enjoy some quiet surrounded by books.

Was told rudely, not asked, to wear a mask inside the shop (even though no other shops around ask people to do this). Most of the inventory or books are leftist, anti capitalist, anarchist, etc views...which is fine if this is your thing. They also sell stickers of police cars on fire so that definitely wasn't my deal and walked out immediately. Not impressed.

Loved this bookstore and would definitely go when I visit Seattle again. Nice selection of left leaning books from politics, labor and various cultural studies. Nice fiction section and comics as well. Played great music while I was there too.

Recently visited LBB. It had been ages. One of the few places in Seattle that you can walk into and feel like you just stepped back in time as far as the atmosphere. Old Seattle establishments are disappearing. I'm glad to see that this one is still around. Bought a couple of shirts, zines, and books. Will make sure to make it a regular stop whenever we dare to brave Pike.

Looked interesting. But after I entered I was asked to wear a mask. Then I noticed the over abundance of commie literature in the windows. Then it all made sense.

Love this bookstore! My family has been going here for years whenever we visit Seattle. It is conveniently located next to Pike place market. It's definitely not your run of the mill bookstore. If you're a leftie, you'll enjoy this shop.

Did some browsing and buying at Left Bank Books, an anarchist collective bookstore in downtown Seattle in the Pike Place Market. Outstanding selection of books for the lefty shopper, including hard to find titles and pamphlets, zines, and newspapers. Don’t miss this if you are in Seattle!

Left Bank Book Collective is a true gem for book lovers seeking a unique and independent shopping experience. As an anarchist, worker-owned collective, the store exudes a welcoming and inclusive atmosphere. I was thrilled to discover a diverse selection of thought-provoking titles and ended up leaving with a stack of books that I couldn't wait to dive into. Support this amazing bookstore and embrace the spirit of community and alternative literature at Left Bank Book Collective.

Very lefty-feeling bookstore with a hippy&anarchist vibe throughout. It has a very interesting 2.5 story layout. I didn’t have a mask so I asked the counter if I could grab one from the box they had and the lady very openly said yes. They sell both new and used books. Definitely closer to a touristy place than a legit bookstore i would spend hours in and rely on for selection. Lastly, I’m not sure how i feel about a bookstore giving free condom.
