Melange is hidden at the in between 2nd and 3rd street, accessible via stairs from the side streets or 2nd, or from within the Chase section of the building that WeWork is in. It's a smaller market with a sandwich counter and a hot food/salad counter, with a middle area for snacks and wuch. Prices here are relatively cheap considering their portion sizes and they make food pretty fast. The staff here are nice and friendly as well. They have daily specials, so check them out. They close early afternoon since it's mainly a breakfast and lunch place.

Pesto chicken sandwich was the best sandwich I have ever had

I work across the street and Melange is my go-to for lunch. They do still sell soup, its towards the back of the store, 2 per day. Always solid. Sandwiches are handmade and take a bit of time, but they are good. If you are in a hurry they have a big grab and go section. With many things not on their other menus. My stop is almost always the daily special area - I get the Fiesta Chicken salad almost every day. The guy working there is friendly, knows my order. He is a bit quiet - but always tells me to have a good day and is perfectly friendly. I enjoy everyone that works here, they are a part of most of my days.

I'm a regular here, the Hispanic guy in the kitchen has always had an attitude problem. I am able to let it go for months - but today, 10.04.2022 they are serving Chicken Curry and I asked if he could separate the rice and put the curry in a different container. Because I wanted to share the food with another person...he just let out the deepest sigh of his life, like someone has died and tossed the spoon in the pan and angrily said to me, I HAVE TO CHARGE YOU EXTRA FOR THE CONTAINER! Mind you, I'm a regular and this meal is not cheap! I am about to let all 1000+Employee in my office to never come here!

I just came at 2:23pm the sign and Google says it closes at 2:30pm and they had the doors locked cleaning & there was a kid in there as well. Beyond poor service to close early and have your kid with you at work!

Really sad whats happened to this place, we can't go anymore because a previously $7 sandwich (not a sub, a regular sandwich) is $15. I expected an increase after covid and inflation but that's way too much. They also took away their soup counter which is now serving as an open storage area so I'm not sure if they stopped selling soups or they have them somewhere else behind the counter.

A half hearted attempt at a Bodega. Overpriced food, small portions. And horrible service. Save your time try somewhere else

Pro's: Value, coffee Cons: just so-so breakfast sandwiches. I tried both the bacon & egg as well as the sausage & egg and would recommend the sausage version as their bacon wasn't the best quality. They had one burrito left but it appeared to be pretty small. They have a deal for two sandwiches/burritos for $8. Now their regular coffee is honestly pretty good. Service was ok, not bad or really that good. Location is nice and I'm certain the market is used extensively by the employees in the building. I was simply waiting on the bus downtown and looking for a quick bite before class. Perhaps I'm being too generous to give 4 stars but I'll have to give them another try with their lunch menu and see if I change my mind.

I did a search for breakfast burritos near me, and this place appeared in the results so I went to try them out. I grabbed a sausage breakfast burrito, and a bacon burrito for their 2 for $8 deal. These are pre-made quick grab and go items, so points there for convenience. but aside from that, they're not very good They're made with the listed protein, egg, cheddar and shredded potato, which is normally perfect for me, but the potato were raw and that was basically all I could taste. The burritos are also steamed instead of grilled, so they have that raw tortilla taste too. I also tried their bacon muffin, and that too was just ok. The staff were fine, they weren't friendly, and they weren't rude - they're just doing their job.

Great spot for a cheap lunch. Most meals are about $10 and the salads are decently filling. Just wish they had longer hours on the days I work late.

Due to COVID, this place only serves breakfast sandwiches. I will not recommended. I got a bacon burrito . It had 75% potato, 15% bacon and 5% eggs. The other 5% was a stale small tortilla. The only plus was that it was warm. Go there for package foods. The coffee was ok. It was hard to find a breakfast place on 2nd Ave.
