I just bought my second couch here the other day and highly recommend Modern Design for anyone looking for an amazing sofa! They are not only beautiful and comfortable, they are also durable!!! I have had the Karma sectional for 11 years and despite my kids attempts to break it by jumping all over it, using the cushions for fortresses, and wiping their hands all over it, it still looks amazing, has no pilling whatsoever, and the cushions are still comfortable. They are custom, so you can select the fabric, color, and leg color. After shopping for another couch online, I forgot how difficult it is to find the right size and color that matches your home so walk on into the showroom and find your next forever sectional, sofa, or chair!

I had an excellent experience buying a couch at Modern Design Sofa. Josh took very good care of me, offering great guidance in choosing from the different models and for working with my budget. My husband and I are very pleased-we love the fabric, we love the way the sofa sits-it’s firm and supportive, but very comfortable and cozy for watching tv and we think the quality is excellent too. I highly recommend Modern Design Sofa.

I'm so glad that I live in Houston but, it shows that I bought furniture in Seattle. You guys are great. I love buying furniture for my home when I don't even need any and I'm not even in the same region. Good job. My furniture better be at my house when I get to my HOME.

Sometimes I'm a difficult customer. This was one of those times. I bought a floor model and after months before I was ready to move and take the couch, I opted to switch it for a custom order. They were set on making sure I liked what I was buying. Might be back in a few years if/when I move again and need a different thing for the space.
Great service, great couch.

We had originally ordered a similar sofa from Apt2B, which is a national major chain, and with a promise of 4-8 weeks delivery time, and no couch after 5 months with no real delivery date in site, we got our money back from Apt2B and headed to Modern Design Sofas here locally in the Central District.
BOY, are we happy we did! Service was absolutely fantastic, it was so nice to get to feel them out in person, and the delivery time was VERY reasonable and our sofa is LUXURIOUS. It's my dream couch and all our friends are obsessed.
10/10 would recommend them for your sofa-purchasing needs.

I had such a great experience with Modern Design Sofas. They truly can make whatever you are envisioning and have exceptional knowledge of fabrics and styles. The staff are patient as well, allowing you to find what works. Highly recommended!! Hundreds of fabrics to choose from, and high quality product that came faster than the quoted time (which was already shorter than every other online or national chain).

If you want a well-priced sofa with clean lines, subtle details, loads of fabric options, AND you want to shop at a friendly local business instead of a chain, this is your place.We had a terrifically low-key in-store experience testing out many models, which was key with a mixed household of tall and short humans (plus a cat and dog) all needing the same couch to feel “right.”In the end, one of the floor models perfectly satisfied our needs (and desire for instant gratification) so we didn’t even get to take advantage of their vast customization options. But we liked knowing we could.We came on the recommendation of some co-workers who were happy with their purchase, and we’re so glad they did!

I am extremely pleased with the service I received at Modern Design Sofas. Josh was great to work with and was patient with me as I took about 3 weeks to mull over some decisions about the size of the sectional and the fabric choice. There was never any pressure whatsoever. He was very helpful in letting me know things to consider when I was deciding on a fabric and gave me several samples to take home to consider. He was also key to me picking out the correct color for the legs that would go best. In addition to the great service, MDS has a very smart and sharp array of designs and styles. I shopped around at several other stores I would always typically go to in years past but I kept coming back to MDS.

My boyfriend and I visited around 8-10 stores around Seattle when we were looking to get a sofa for our home. Either of us didn't like the sofa or the wait time for 5-6 months which was too much. Finally I came across Modern Design sofas while looking for good furniture stores on Yelp. We were really impressed with their huge selection and customizations they offered. Their sofas are priced reasonably. We were able to get a high quality sectional for half the price of other stores in just 3 weeks. It is really well-made and has held up very well after a year.

Shopped every furniture store in Everett to no avail, first couch we sit on at Modeso was the One. Just received a few days ago and we couldn’t be happier, 10/10 would recommend.

Many of our friends have enjoyed their Modern Design sofa for years. We did our own assessment of sofas available and found the quality and design of the sofas perfect for us. We are very happy with our new sofa and the service was excellent.

Very unassuming store that is jammed full with sofa's & chairs. At first, I thought that most of the designs and colors were not right for my son & his wife. However, two sectionals caught our attention. One had a desireable contemporary design with nice fabric. The second one had a better design and the sofa was about 10 inches wider than the other one. However, the fabric was all wrong. Josh was so helpful when we told him what we were looking for in terms of design, colors, and durability. He showed us several other fabrics that ticked all the boxes for both color, texture, and durability. To our surprise, Josh showed us how we could customize the sofa with a better fabric for no increase in price. We could select the color of the wood legs and for a modest fee we could add 6 button tufting to each of the three sofa back cushions. Both the back and seat cushions were fully reversable and could be serviced at the store if anything went wrong in the future. All of this could be made for us in Los Angeles and delivered in 4 to six weeks. We looked at several chain furniture stores and another local store. Modern Design sofas had the best quality and prices compared to the other stores. We bought a high quality customized sofa with the lowest delivery cost for about what we would have paid at a higher end chain store. Their sofa didn't compare in terms of design or base price fabrics.
