What a wonderfully nostalgic shop!! Look in all the nooks and crannies for hidden treasures. This is a UNIQUE place to visit while in Seattle. Darold, the owner/manager is a treasure himself.

Mort's Cabin in Eastlake is seriously one of Seattle's best-kept secrets. Picture this: a rustic shop packed with cabin vibes, quirky treasures, and the friendliest dude, Darold. It's like stumbling upon a hidden treasure trove of cool stuff—both vintage and new. Just a heads up, though, they dance to their own beat with funky hours, so ringing them up before you swing by is a smart move. Trust me, it's the kind of place that makes you wonder why it's not getting more buzz—it's that cool!

Neat little shop crammed full of curiosities. The owner has a tale for every item if you have the time. Will definitely return.

Simply put, everything. Especially, Darold the owner, full of history and love for the neighborhood. And what a selection of eclectic merchandise and secret finds.

Beyond a Jewel box in Seattle! A treasure of eclectic Art, Furniture, clothing and so much more. The Owner and curator Darold is an amazing person and a joy! He hosts Pop Up’s for local Artists and has had the Community come together for the Women’s March and to sew dresses for children in Africa. This is what a Small business owner should be~

The eclectic collection always surprises me. The owners joy of community is evident each time I pass by. I have carved my name in the bench out front and had a chance to listen to some of the stories behind other etchings. Worth stopping by over and over again.

So Glad this place is on Yelp already and has been clearly 'discovered' by others. I have been wanting to stop in to to this antique shop located on Eastlake Avenue forever. Unfortunately whenever I drove by I was usually on my way to or from my hairdressers or I never saw convenient parking so I kept putting it off for another day. One rainy day on my way back home I saw a parking spot out front and seized the opportunity. So glad I did. This little shop is jam packed with interesting finds. Many antiques but also newer items that look sort of 'cowboys and indians' style to me as well as Art Deco items. Signage, vintage pictures and art. It's basically a potpourri of interesting items. It's true. There is a gas fireplace in the front with two comfy chairs. The owner was extremely helpful although it was my first time in the shop. When I asked him where I could find a glass fixture for one of my antique torchiere lamps, not only did he tell me where to find one, he offered to help me get one himself if the lighting shop he mentioned was not able to help. So refreshing in this day and age to have someone offer to do that when they don't even know you. Please stop in to this shop. It's a throw back to a more gracious age and the kind of care and service you would have gotten 20 or 30 years ago from a small store.

Every time I snuggle up on my couch with one of my Pendleton blankets I bought from Morts Cabin or I'll look at what our beautiful Decour items are in the house or on the wall I have fond memories of shopping there ... I have not been there since 2009 - 2015 when I bought a whole lot of nice stuff that I still enjoy ... but it is truly a unique place for personal items, home decor or gifts. It's a neat store that captures the old Seattle vibe while still being relevant to our current times.

Great quality products not made in China. I bought the most lovely reproduction George Nelson block clock at a very reasonable price. Going back soon for more. Can't fault the old fashioned service either.

Nothing but love for Mort's Cabin. It's a wonderful store packed with both new and vintage items. I have many fantastic things in my home from Mort's and have given many well received gifts from there as well. The owner, Darold, is as nice as they get. He's delightful and knowledgeable about NW art and artists, neighborhood lore, and all things cool. You have to stop in Mort's!
