Nook & Cranny Books is a cozy, hidden gem bookstore right next to Cowen Park. It is a lovely, airy space with a huge and eclectic selection of books for all ages, organized by vibes and themes rather than genres. The selection feels personally and lovingly curated, with appealing sections and excellent signage. The shop also offers gifts, stickers, cards, games, and puzzles. The owner is sweet, welcoming, and an absolute gem with great recommendations. The store has comfy chairs and a whole table for reading or chatting. It is a wonderful independent bookstore and a perfect place for anyone who loves bookshops or needs to spend time in the U-District and Roosevelt area.
Nook & cranny feels like home, it's cozy, well stocked, and the owner is super knowledgeable and helpful. Even ordering a super hard to find book for me! The book clubs are super thoughtfully curated, and welcoming!

A good, no perfect addition to the University Way. Books are shelved not according to the authors but very interesting topics (see the photos). A comfortable space. Notmonly books but select merchandise, notebooks, bags, pencil cases. Nook& Cranny is a strong recommend!
