They only sell to businesses so I was not allowed to try any office chair. This is understandable as I was trying to buy a chair for myself. It was suggested I go to west elm or Room and Board to try out steelcase chairs.

We are a private school that owns a lot of furniture we've purchased through Open Square. One issue is that the particular furniture we ordered is poorly designed (which may or may not be their fault). The bases and wheels don't stand up to a lot of moving, and parts bend or come loose that can't then be unbent. When base screws come loose, the fitting inside the welded base fall off and then the screw can't be reinserted and tightened.A more significant issue is that their customer service is almost nonexistent. We have a contact, but when we reach out, it takes a very long time to hear back, and promised follow-up takes multiple emails, phone calls, and between 6 months and a year to occur (when it occurs). It is very difficult to have the constraints of a school while relying on OpenSquare to service their products. After waiting a year, we are still waiting to hear from them about which of our products are still under warranty.I would not recommend OpenSquare to any organization that does not have their own dedicated maintenance staff, and would hesitate to recommend them to anyone else. If furniture breaking presents a significant hardship, look elsewhere.

I was looking for a home office chair and wanted to test out some Steelcase chairs before I made a decision. Stephen was extremely helpful and set up an appointment with me to go through almost all of the chairs in the Steelcase line. Despite looking for just a personal home office chair, and stating that I was going to be purchasing online, they still took the time to meet with me and provide excellent customer service. Big shout out to OpenSquare and Stephen!

Place is awesome, went to try Steelcase chairs without an appointment -- they're on the back wall! I bought an Amia but I think the Leap would have been better, I was obsessed with the thought of asymmetric lumbar torque, and I've been using an Aeron for at least a year now, which is pretty much perfect. Next chair may be a La Z Boy and rolling standing desk to pivot from the wall

A service technician named Tom helped me with my Steelcase leap v2, he went beyond any standard of technical help I could have ever possibly expected! I'm writing this review almost seven hours later because I just kept thinking about how much of a help he was! I might actually even try to give them a call tomorrow to see if I can leave a review with his manager, he was such a help! I bought my Steelcase leap second hand, and even then they treated me like I was a customer from them originally, it was great!

Some of the staff are great others are so, so. The employees that are Temps get treated like trash by big wigs men that are temps have to use honey buckets outside. Products look great BTW. Other than the favoritism by certain bosses and ppl getting hit and no one does anything about it. I would say great but some of the people's positions should be reevaluated

One the worst experiences period. Sourcing for our office--no one present when I showed up. Offices under construction. Was asked to "show myself around" and call back when the business development person was in. Called back - to get quotes and ask for additional samples on seating. Was transferred to Lisa Arthofer who refused to discuss anything with me because they don't do "home office". I asked her if she knew what a "home office" was, and just got the response... "go online and order something." Sounds like she isn't the sharpest pencil in pack. We are a "home office" as in an Investment Management shop. Unbelievably rude. When I asked to speak with someone else she retorted "I'm the Vice President of Business Development for the whole company." Wow. Not what I asked, but thanks for the information. Stick with someone who doesn't have their head up their @$$ like Global, BMI, Ducky's or really ANYONE else. Thanks OpenSquare. Best of luck to you.
