The theater itself is fantastic. They've done a gorgeous job of keeping the beautiful details intact. Previously I've sat on the first level and the sound and view has never been a problem. Wanting to see a show recently and snagging last minute tickets, I was able to compare to the absolute furthest back rows and I will say that the sound (for a musical) travelled poorly. A lot of the specific words from each line were lost by the time it reached the back. I have perfect hearing and am in my twenties, so for anyone with trouble hearing, this could have been a really negative experience. While I recognize you "get what you pay for", I did still pay a lot to go and felt frustrated how much I was missing. The other element that made the venue lose a star for me was the security staff outside that was lacking in hospitality while trying to rush everyone in on time. I understand the pressure to start the show on time but given we're all there for a good time and paid a lot, I do have an expectation of kindness or a kind tone that was missing with some. Otherwise, I'll of course be back and will get tickets earlier to ensure I'm closer to the front!

This theater is opulent and stunning! I felt like I was entering a sacred part of Seattle's history. My friends and I enjoyed seeing The Book of Mormon musical here with a fully booked house on a weekday night. Ushers were helpful and bathrooms were very clean and thankfully near our seating in the upper mezzanine "nose bleed section." Seating is tightly packed and the ushers warned me that they would be closing the doors to our section when I went to the bathroom a few minutes before the start of the show. However, I made it in time for the show, thankfully!Parking was a bit tricky but it was easy to purchase with our tickets. They had us park in a garage a few blocks away and leaving the garage took about 30 minutes. Plan for a hike or to pay a lot to park closer to the theater.

Great venue. Been here many times and the staff are always helpful. Plenty of separate spots to but snacks and beverages if you look around. Don't just go to the first one on the main floor.

The Paramount Theatre's a great venue!Lots of class (even though I saw a video game Sonic Symphony) and plenty of seating with great views of the stage. Security and help is a bit hurried and lacks bedside manner, but we had a great time.

I have been to the Paramount twice for musicals and it is a nice theater! The seats are pretty comfy but, as with most theaters, very close together. The view and sound have always been good despite us not being close to the stage. I did have trouble finding a bathroom but, to be honest, was a bit turned around and found one in the end. We have also opted to pre pay for parking as well and, although we had difficulty finding it at first, liked knowing we had a secure and guaranteed spot. There is NO reception in the garage though so I would recommend pulling up the parking "ticket" while on the street if it is on your phone.

Took a friend to see a show here as a Christmas present. The theatre is readily accessible from I5. We had event parking though it was slightly confusing to find (Don't go to "1700 7th Ave" but do Google "Paramount Theater Parking" and or find the garage between 7th and 8th on Stewart Ave). The theatre is charming, there's a good bar and plenty of restrooms. The seating was comfortable and our view wasn't obscured by the folks in front at all. Beautifully ornate and a really delightful experience.

A beautiful and cozy theater in downtown Seattle that brings energy and spirit to each show and act that dons its stage. While I have frequented this theater throughout the past 15 years, this was the first time I brought our family to a show: MJ The Musical. The touring production was awesome and inspiring. The stage perfectly ready to take the set changes and dynamic lighting, etc. The theater itself has "no bad seats", as we sat towards the back, but still felt we had stellar views. (Even from the balcony - in previous experience.)The only qualm is the lack of space before the show, during intermission and after the show. There is literally no room to move in the lobby area, as viewed from the second, third and fourth floor balconies, a sea of heads is all that can be seen, nearly at a standstill, moving centimeters at a time on the way in/out.

Great place for a concert!I went to see Tate McRae a couple months back with a friend. It is predominantly a standing room, so I highly recommend coming early for any shows - but if you want to sit, they do have seats on the second floor that aren't that far from the stage and usually similarly priced.I loved how great the sound system was! It was loud but not deafening, and the screens in front made it so much easier to actually watch her - especially since I'm short but was in the back. Security was also really helpful and stopped people from pushing through. As a smaller sized person, I really appreciated it as I was getting thrown around a bit every time someone tried.Overall, this is a great location and I would definitely love to see more shows here!

Amazingly bad seating in the upper levels, anybody taller than say 5'5" will get leg cramps. Acoustics are terrible, very boomy and the hissing A/C goes nonstop. This place urgently needs an update! In the plus side they have a decent program with good shows but avoid any off the mezzanine levels at all cost if you're over 5'5".

Amazing and beautiful venue. Great acoustics for heavy metal. Just an amazing experience all around. Drove from Portland and it was worth every penny. Also let a couple that flew in from Hawaii specifically to see the show at THIS venue. That's saying somethin

Yes, the venue is gorgeous. … but Sound quality! They have a fantastic sound system in place here. There’s nothing I hate more than going to a concert or show only to have it ruined because of bad acoustics. Not the case here. And they have an amazing lighting system as well. I was actually planning a trip to go to a concert in Vancouver, but I rerouted my entire plans and went to that same concert in Seattle instead, specifically because of the theater.

We went to the Paramount Theater for the first time to see a performance of Hadestown. We purchased tickets to the show online and also purchased parking. The parking structure is fine but is about three blocks and around the corner from the theater. We passed at least two other parking options on the way to the theater one of which advertised fees far less than the “official “ parking structure. The theater itself is a nice example of the grand style of theaters from the gilded age of the 1920s with ornamentation covering the walls and ceilings. While not as exuberant as the Pantagws in Los Angeles it is still a charming place to be.Our seats were in the balcony about halfway to the top. The stage is easily visible from any seat but the stage gets pretty small the higher you go. The seats, while comfortable, are not new and the theater is fundraising to replace them. The real problem with the seats is the limited legroom available. I am six feet tall and my knees had to splay on either side of the seat in front of me.Restrooms are available both on the ground floor and on the upper levels. Snack bars are on the second level and the main floor. A counter selling merchandise from the show is in the lobby but the limited space in the lobby makes traversing the lobby challenging when people are entering or exiting the building.Overall a great venue for a performance with the added charm of a vintage theater whose shortcomings are minor and part of the visit.

Always enjoy shows at the paramount; the slope of the seating means all seats are good seats! I have enjoyed shows from the back row.. good audio throughout also. Some upper seating is a bit tight if you are taller or wider. Generally love this venue!

Concerts and musicals here are fantastic. The sound system is perfect no matter where you are sitting. The bathrooms are nice and clean. The whole venue is just gorgeous and oozes history.
