Pharmaca's great! The staff's really helpful and amazing, they have my refills delivered/auto-billed, an easy 5-stars. The best pharmacy in West Seattle. If they don't have a medication on hand, they get it quickly.

Lack of urgency regarding Covid vaccine boosters. I almost never write a negative review because I have sympathy for hard working people and bad days etc. But this was very disappointing. I came to Pharmaca for my first two Covid shots with no problem. But when I tried to schedule a booster they were booked through the New Year and this was frustrating since it was December 10th and we needed to be boosted before the holiday (I imagine many Americans are in the same position). We called ahead and asked about walk-ins in case there were any cancellations. I was loyal to this shop because they were kind during my first set of Covid shots. But they discouraged us from coming in because they said they were so busy. We did go by there that day anyway (we had read online that people were getting Covid boosters by walking in) and either the same guy or a different guy seemed so completely indifferent. The store had maybe one customer looking at things. No line. The booth where I had gotten my first two Covid shots was empty. A couple of employees in sight who looked relaxed. When I asked if we could wait or if there was a cancellation he said they were "too busy." It was depressing. We ended up getting our shots at the Rite Aid in Westwood which was FAR BUSIER by every objective measure. But the big corporate conglomerate cared more than Pharmaca at the junction about helping us. Rite Aid was taking 15 people per day and we had to go twice to get there early enough (45 minutes ahead) to wait in line to be seen. But it really made me question why do I want to support a smaller business if it doesn't seem to take seriously the question of Covid booster shots before the holidays? Maybe they don't make a lot of money from these shots but it's a kind of community good doing that should matter to a pharmacy that cares about its customers and its community.

The stuff is good and the general staff is quite helpful. But one of the pharmacists (a pregnant woman) is one of the most unpleasant people I've met. Being pregnant has nothing to do with her attitude. She's actually just quite mean. I had some questions about my prescription and she ignored me and then was really sharp with me. I don't really understand why my question was such a pain for her! I just started it and wanted to make sure I'd do everything right :(

Called prior to coming in to make sure they had a new supplement I wanted. They had it, took the payment over the phone, and had it by the register for me to pick up when convenient. They also offered that I could call from the parking lot and have someone take out to my car. Very appreciated!

Excellent hometown Pharmacy. We used to come in regularly and haven't in about 4-5 months. My husband walked in to pick something up for me and the head pharmacist remembered him and figured out he was there for my prescription. This has happened many times before which is why we keep coming back!!The only downside that sometimes the other pharmacists aren't as knowledgeable or friendly it seems like. It has everything you need in a pharmacy plus extra fun stuff to look at but you generally get what you need. Every now and then they don't have something in stock like a bigger chain would but it's pretty small potatoes compared to the great things about it!

Avoid!! While this location might have been a great health products store in the past, it remains to be seen what good might be made of all of the troubles they find to create for themselves and others at this point in time. The once nice, kind, and warm feel should be gone as the idea of this place being a out health, safety, an a sense of security has neen thrown out long ago. I had high hopes of having a trustworthy natural goods store nearby me in West Seattle, yet I Pharmaca of West Seattle is a waste of time. The staff are not just the problem, however are not educated in anything but lying and smiling to sell lies at best. The staff at the West Seattle Pharmaca have given me bad advice about medicinal skin creams that has caused serious problems - almost to the point of leaving a scar from the noxious chemical burn on my face the cream that the staff member at Pharmaca handed me. The products, once a nice assortment of healthy goods intended for health conscious people is, in general, more about cheaper, prettier, and nicer packaging than actual medicinal goods. Do yourself a favor and use the nearby grocery stores or the large big name pharmacy store only a couple of blocks away.

I love this store and shop there regularly, but they lost my business today because they would not let my four year old use the bathroom, so we had to leave at the beginning of our visit to the store. I've been in other stores in the junction that don't let the public use the restroom, but they've made an exception for my children. I'll be back when they change their policy.

Cramped, crowded, difficult space to navigate. Zero privacy. Someone or something is perpetually blocking an aisle. The extra space they do have is filled with overpriced hats and scarves and such. They've stopped carrying so much of the stuff I used to buy it's not even worth coming any more. Bitters? Stopped carrying my brand. Deodorant? Stopped carrying my brand. Supplements? Stopped carrying my brand. Probiotics? Stopped carrying my brand. A few staff members are great but mostly it's just a bunch of tired, apathetic workers who don't really care. This location is chronically understaffed. There's always a line - even in the middle of the day. Today was my last visit.

With the variety of health conditions I manage, I am thankful for the pharmacy staff here. The new management has really improved the store and I enjoy picking up my medications monthly (which doesn't often happen). Knowledgeable staff, great customer service. Highly recommend!

Pharmaca is amazing, everything you could hope for in a neighborhood pharmacy. The pharmacists are knowledgeable and so helpful. We often have specific prescription requests and the pharmacists have gone above and beyond to answer questions, address concerns and find exactly what we need. I've been blown away by their service and commitment to helping customers. Not only that, but the quality of natural products they carry are amazing. Best pharmacy/gift shop/drug store/everything shop ever :)

Boy, things have changed here. Over the course of the last couple of years, there have been some pretty major changes in staff and seemingly their approach to customer service and management in general. My favorite staff are all gone, and there seems to be a really high turnover rate. In some ways this is good, because there have been a number of people who really, really needed more customer service training, but now there are only a couple of people who remember me. This part is important to me because I take a LOT of meds, including some controlled substances, and am in the pharmacy about every other week. I don't have to do the whole ID-showing song and dance to get my controlled substances. There are a couple of lovely folks there and a few duds who just don't seem interested in my presence or my business. The worst part, though, isn't the staff. The company seems to have changed distributors, and now they are constantly out of one drug or another. My partner and I have both had to wait days and days to get drugs we needed to function properly as humans. Now, I want to emphasize this isn't the staff's fault. Their distributor is garbage. I can only imagine that Pharmaca is using them because they're cheap, but you can't mess with the timeliness of getting people's medications to them. At what point is this going to become a life-endangering issue? Honestly, if this place weren't the highest rated pharmacy in the area (which is really sad), I'd go somewhere else.

I prefer shopping in actual store for cosmetics, so I could get professional help choosing what is best for my skin type, that's why I decided to buy Jane Iredale make up at local Pharmaca. I was looking for a under eye concealer which over $ 30 is not cheep. I went in after work and there was not a person knowledgeable about the make up, so I went home, did online research and decided to take a chance and returned knowing what I was going to buy. This time, there was one employee behind the register and another one helping a customer chose a face lotion. I do not mind waiting my turn, but the customer was literally trying every single cream, so after 10 minutes, I asked if the employee could unlock the cabinet and get my concealer and brush, while the other customer makes a choice. The employee was clearly irritated and after several more minutes, gave me my concealer and said they are out of the brush. The entire store was 20% off and while I was waiting, I overheard the employee tell the customer that she can pay for item that is out of stock today to get the sale price. I was not given that option for the brush. I ended up paying full price online and will purchase at my dermatologist office, where I can get help next time.
