Very polite staff and gorgeous seating in lobby. They serve great local spicy chai.

Clean, well-lit, good music volume level. Wheelchair accessible, including the space required for motorized models. I got the mountainback bacon egg and cheese and a 12oz cold brew. The bacon and egg is sliced so thick, honestly the best one I’ve ever had. The bun was great too. Total after tax and tip was $15.87 (22% tip). I saw them getting a graffitied window replaced yesterday when I was passing by, so it seems like they really care about keeping up with maintaining this place.Everyone working here was really friendly and made sure to confirm what I’d ordered before making it. Just a really nice place.Wheelchair accessibility: No steps entering the restaurant, lots of room inside. Table seating in the corner alongside their typical café bar style seating.

This coffee shop is nice for a quick breakfast and coffee. It is attached to a hotel and has a decent amount of seating. We ordered a latte, chocolate-berry muffin, steel cut oatmeal, mini dill scone, mountain bacon-cheese-egg breakfast sandwich, and a green tea. The coffee was just okay, nothing special. The muffin was quite chocolatey and the scone was a little hard. The breakfast sandwich was pretty good and the mountain bacon was flavorful and fatty.

There's lots of seating, you can spread out as needed. We got cappuccinos which were nice and foamy and the espresso tasted delicious!

Very disappointed. The drip coffee was sour. They forgot about my lox sandwich order and I ended up waiting a total of twenty minutes for it and then my coffee got cold. The bread tasted stale. I saw another order for 2 lox sandwiches go out earlier and they were double the size of mine... Don't understand that.

Poindexter is a coffee shop attached to the Graduate Hotel, and while convenient, it lacks warmth and exuberates pretentiousness. The space is ample, with plenty of seating. The decor includes plaid-like walls lined with rustic paintings. One can purchase beer, wine, coffee, and other small bites from this location. My experience was an unfortunate one. The barista did not greet me; instead, I had to initiate. To make matters worse, I was rudely corrected for ordering a red-eye. The barista told me it was a "shot in the dark," punctuated by a tone of consternation that was deeply unsettling at nearly 8:30 am on a Sunday. For reference, "a shot in the dark" is another colloquial name for the drink. My co-worker requested a vanilla latte with foam. Both orders came out to a little $12. My red-eye had a heavenly taste; the espresso perfectly accompanied the drip. Shockingly, however, the vanilla latte was abnormally syrupy. Given the service and the price, I would not return. Down the street from Poindexter, one can receive better service, more affordable coffee($10 at Kitanda), and less pretentious baristas from Kitanda, or other U-District offerings.

I love this place, but recently came in to find that the entire back area was closed off, seemingly for some student function. In the meantime, the front area was packed with students standing around with luggage (?), So there was nowhere to sit. Fck students anyway, but wouldn't you have a sign at the counter telling people that they can pay, but can't stay. I guess if they cared about customer service they would.

Staying at the Graduate Hotel, where everyone is super friendly and accomodating!Poindexters is attached to the hotel, and NOT friendlyI went in this morning and the person behind the counter was seriously cranky I went in 2 more times to give it a chance, but also just as unfriendly and snarky. There are plenty of other wonderful coffee shops around, I'd steer clear of this one. It's too bad as its so convenient with the hotel, but such a drastic difference in attitude from the awesome staff at the Graduate.

The typical coffees, snacks. Lots of space stretching back that makes it feel open. Not cramped like many coffee shops in U- Disrict. Reasonable prices.

The breakfast sandwich was delicious and the cheese was dripping from my sandwich which I loved!!! The coffee was okay nothing special but I would get it again. Both of the people who helped me where super friendly and joyful, so early in the morning on a Sunday morning. The place is very spacious and I love the wall of plants with the cute puppy statues.

The line was really long and took about 25 minutes to order and another 10 to receive the coffee, but there was only one barista working, so it was understandable. Always tip your servers and baristas!

The inside is so cute and it’s inside of a hotel! There are plants and overall, it feels really cozy and nice inside. I ordered a vanilla latte and it was pretty standard. I also got a raspberry cornetto, which was pretty large. I liked it though some bites had too much filling.

The bagels were a joke. A bare bagel with a small portion of creame cheese to self-assemble. Cappuccino was Ok-ish, but no latte art and she selected paper cups instead of a mug "for here". Unnecessary waste.... For 18$ I'm not sure if I should lough or cry.
