Wanted to take a moment to thank Kathy for helping us get a bed (Kyrie Platform, Queen). We moved and wanted a bed there as soon as possible and went looking in Pottery Barn. Without much guidance in there we stopped by the PB kids to check the quality on a similar spindle style before buying online. Along came Kathy and she was so sweet and helpful! She went next door and got the wood samples and helped us with the order! She’s really a gem and took the initiative to help us when no one else seemed interested.
It took about 2 months to get the bed (made to order) but we just used a cheap ikea frame while we waited. White glove delivery/assembly was swift and the people were polite and communicative about scheduling and arrival!

Don’t buy any power recliners. They have zero customer service once it leaves the store or is shipped. You have no emails to call. It’s constant phone calls which lead to ppl who say they cant help you with anything. The ppl on the phone are absolutely unhelpful probably underpaid so they dont care. You have no recourse. They wont even share a customer service email so that there’s no paper trail. It’s just really stage. When buying the store tells you they will cover the mechanical parts for time. The website q/a says they cover for 3 years. But they dont! This is a lot of money for zero customer service. Never buying from them again and going to post in parent forums

Have been a fan of the pottery barn family of products for years, I have the credit card and did a wedding registry at pottery barn years ago I was very happy with.
Doing a registry & using a designer from pottery barn kids seemed like an obvious choice, but after our experience we chose to spend much less than originally intended at the store.
The registry was cumbersome, we had to redo it a few times and it added random items, some of which were purchased by our family and had to be returned. They were accommodating with the return but it was still a pain.
I very much do not recommend the designer service as it was a huge let down and very pushy sales. First they switched the person who would come to our home and do the design, really wondering if the lady they sent had any proper interior design schooling because she did not seem knowledgeable. We had a piece of furniture we wanted to keep in the room and add crib, glider & changing table, she kept trying to get us to get rid of the piece we had. She asked if we wanted things like rugs, and we specifically said no rugs, yet she included rugs in our final design that did not fit the room theme at all. She offered products from pottery barn teen then later told us they weren’t discount eligible. Her designs took two weeks, were basic and some didn’t even take the actual room into consideration as she placed furniture in front of a wall heater creating a fire hazard, it looked like she just plugged some measurements and furniture into ChatGPT. The worst part is the pushy sales, she emailed us the design then called 2 hours later pushing us to buy the crib that day, and the next day and subsequently with relentless follow up. I was so turned off by the pushy sales that we decided to go elsewhere for our glider and changing table simply because I didn’t want to deal with the pushy sales lady. They definitely lost thousands in sales by not providing good design with their service, not listening and being way too pushy with their sales strategy.

Most of the staff at Pottery Barn Kids in University Village are polite and helpful, but our experience with Pandora was disappointing. On two separate visits, she made rude comments about how pregnant my sister looked — once at just 8 weeks and again at 7 months. She also repeatedly criticized us for being “unprepared” and dismissed our budget concerns, saying a $2,000 nursery chair was “the MOST important thing” and questioning how we hadn’t figured that out yet. Her attitude made an already emotional process feel judgmental and stressful. Would not recommend working with her.

Went to buy my son’s backpack and lunchbox in store instead of ordering online to have a fun in store experience. The sales woman helping us made us feel uncomfortable, telling us at first they didn’t have what we asked for even though I already saw they had it for pick up in store. She proceeded to tell us it was more expensive than what I had in my cart online, making us feel like we were going were asking for a discount when it’s literally their website. She was sour in the face and the other employees couldn’t bother to share a smile and looked pissed. Won’t be coming to this location and may need to find other kid backpack options.

We had an amazing experience at Pottery Barn thanks to Kathy! She was incredibly knowledgeable and went above and beyond to help us with everything—from car seats and strollers to crib mattresses. Her guidance made the entire process so much easier and more enjoyable. Kathy’s professionalism, patience, and genuine care truly stood out. We left feeling confident and excited, all because of her outstanding support. Thank you, Kathy!

I ordered a Quinn hamper as a baby gift for a nursery. The inside of the hamper has a rough texture that can snag delicate baby clothes. It should never have been sold without a liner. Currently it is an option. I have had no luck trying to reach a manager. After 25 minutes I was told an escalation associate would not talk to me. So disappointed. I have been a good customer over the years. May not go back unless issue can be resolved.

Helpful in deciding between carseats, though their selection was limited to just 3 brands in our size

I have had nothing but positive experiences with this store. Chris was super helpful. Quick, concise and clear. She helped both myself and several other customers with kindness.

My wife and I made a five-hour drive from Spokane to Seattle to shop at Pottery Barn Kids, excited to purchase a stroller, car seat, and maternity chair for our first child. This was supposed to be a special experience after our difficult journey to pregnancy, especially following a miscarriage. Instead, it turned into a nightmare.
An employee not only made us feel unwelcome but outright body-shamed us to our faces. When I asked about a specific maternity chair, she told us it had been sold but then proceeded to say it was “really little” and “not made for bigger people.” She even added that people have broken the chair because of their size, making it clear that we were “too big” to own it. My pregnant wife was humiliated and in tears.
We were absolutely shocked that an employee at a maternity store felt comfortable making such blatant and offensive comments about our bodies. We left feeling disgusted and heartbroken. This was supposed to be an exciting shopping experience for our baby, but instead, it was one of the most humiliating and discouraging experiences we’ve ever had in a retail store.
We spoke with the manager, who was appalled, but the damage was already done. No one should be made to feel this way—especially in a store that caters to expecting parents. Pottery Barn Kids needs to take inclusion seriously and train their employees on how to treat ALL customers with respect.
We will never shop here again, and we strongly encourage others to think twice before supporting a store that allows this kind of discrimination.

I am very disappointed in the sales person and the customer service. I am not going to write step by step all that happened, but basically, she lied to me and forced to buy a chair at the original price. In a month, just as I suspected, the chair went on sale, and we ended up paying 300 dollars more. I should have trusted myself and shouldn't have listened to her. The customer service was super useless, responding late and kept saying they cannot adjust the price. So this company supports the sales people scamming the customers at the stores.

We had a wonderful time talking to Kathy, she helped us bring home exactly what we were looking for.
Kathy, the sales associate, was very helpful in answering our questions about the cribs (what was in stock/available at the store), the changing table toppers, and storage options. She also provided advice about how to clean the floor-model rug (heavily discounted, and perfect for our nursery!). Kathy went above and beyond to help us ensure timely pickup of the crib at the loading area, and helped unbox it & wrap it securely in the packing materials when the packaging was too large to fit in our car.
