Was only 5 minutes late and the receptionist said I wasn’t allowed to join the class. My friend was taking the class and we planned to take it together - I asked if I could go in to let my friend know I’m here but won’t be able to join per what I was told; the receptionist said I could not go in to let my friend know. She also said I couldn’t wait inside and had to stand outside of the studio and wait. The surrounding outside area is not the best, a bit sketchy, and it was a chilly cold day. I stood outside for 50minutes in the cold waiting for my friend to finish the class.Disappointing how they treat women looking for a workout and positive wellness. after really trying to get there on time after work (I ran/power walked), it was disappointing to be treated and rejected like thatNever coming back here after this bad experience

Pure Barre Capitol Hill the best fitness studio in Seattle where you can get a high-quality and effective full-body workout alongside a community that celebrates everybody and EVERY BODY. From the moment I walked through the door for my first class, I felt welcomed by the friendly and knowledgeable staff at Pure Barre Capitol Hill (shout out to Madison K., Elissa B., Malika and Kendra who taught some of my first classes here!) It meant so much to me, especially as I was evaluating workout and fitness options that I could grow into & scale up after a bike-related injury last year.PB-CH truly first and only studio in Seattle I've wanted to come back to because the people here really care about their members. All of the instructors are trained and are super knowledgeable, and teach classes in a way that meets everyone where they are.I started noticing improvements in my core and hip strength within 4-6 sessions and enjoy the different class formats offered now, especially the new Define class format that allows me to incorporate strength training into my routine. For a long time I thought barre couldn't be for me, but was really blocking my blessings. If you're on the fence about barre and don't think it could be for you - think again!

I was waiting for my table at the ramen place next door when I decided to go into sure barre I'm 8 months pregnant new to settle and wanted to find a gym for postpartum recovery I saw they had pop sockets at the counter I just took a look at one and the lady at the front desk accused me of stealing and told me to put what I took back things got awkward after I showed my pockets where empty and now I'd never want to gym there again maybe it's because I was in sweats and a sweater and not my regular clothes that I was judged

I used to HATE working out and was super intimidated by regular gyms. Im so glad I started taking these classes. The instructors are very nice and helpful. Very welcoming atmosphere. The hour goes by quickly. There was a little bit of a learning curve when I first started because ive never done yoga or pilates. It's also probably not for people looking to lose weight quickly or get big "gains"BUT I highly recommend for people that need a comfortable way to stay in shape and build healthy habits, or for people that have "gym anxiety". It has pretty much eliminated my chronic back pain, I feel great, I'm stronger, more toned, and more in tune with my body. I've gone to the Queen Anne location and the Cap Hill one and both are A+

Can’t cancel membership auto-renew because their hidden “30-day notice” policy. The online portal says you can only cancel at a studio, the studio manager says you can must cancel through email, so how is it possible to cancel the next month 30 days beforehand!! That’s $199 gone. At the beginning, the company called me repeatedly to get me to a trial class and to encourage me to sign up for a membership. I received different promotional emails from them every day, none of them mentioned this “auto-renew and 30-day cancelation policy”, nor is it in my membership agreement email. So screwed up. The Pure Barre company offers the most deceptive membership service I knew of.

I love going to Barre class here! I usually go a couple of times a week. Every instructor is amazing and they always make sure you're doing each movement correctly! I first started here after I had surgery on my foot and everyone was so helpful! It's definitely a place for all abilities. I would highly recommend anyone to try out Barre here!

Although every single instructor is amazing, I would not recommend these classes if you are looking to gain flexibility and get toned, and specifically not trying to lose weight. At the end of each class my muscles were tight and burning and I had lost 11 lbs in 1 month (I’m already pretty thin). I couldn’t participate in the classes with a mask and I would have to pull my mask down every 5 minutes because I couldn’t breathe (I’ve taken masked yoga and Pilates classes without any issue). Their classic is the most basic class yet it’s not beginner friendly in my opinion. I asked to cancel my membership and I was told I’d have to pay for the following month and then cancel. I know this class isn’t a good fit for me, or better yet, I’m not cut out for this class so it didn’t make sense to me that I’d have to pay for another month. At the point where I asked to postpone the membership instead (to possibly get in touch with a nutritionist figuring I’m taking in too little calories for these workouts and overall feeling exhausted) I was told that I could not unless I pay for an additional month. So in summary, I’d have to pay for the month that I did not use, pay for the following month that I didn’t know if I was in shape enough for, and then an additional month on top of that to push my unused passes into another month, all for classes I can’t physically tolerate. I’ve just never had a health based organization charge you for something that’s not cut out for you. As a healthcare professional who works 4 12 hour night shifts and does yoga and takes walks daily, I tried my best to commit to this program (if tried a mask, a fan, protein bars/shakes, energy drinks) but I know all programs aren’t appropriate for everyone. The policy just seems less in favor of supporting someone’s health goals and more in favor of taking your money. To add, I had gone through one month of classes and had given them 30 days notice that I wanted to downgrade the next month and cancel after that, yet they say the first month doesn’t count when you downgrade which was not made clear. If I got stronger, fixed my caloric intake and maybe felt like I could come back, I still wouldn’t because it’s important to me that an institution is actually concerned with you reaching your health goals.

Friendly staff, clean and bright studio, challenging but fun! Pros: + I've done barre in the past but not Pure Barre - there was way less time standing with the medicine ball than I expected and more time spent on core exercises. I haven't worked out in a while, and appreciated that this was tough enough that I felt the burn but easy enough to follow along. + There was upbeat club type music (ie Rain on Me, some Cher, a remix of a Billie Eilish song) which I loved, but could vary by class. + Good precautions taken against COVID as an indoor exercise class. Vaccine cards or a recent test were checked on arrival, and everyone wore a mask the whole time. Not packed at all - at my 8:15 Sunday class, there were only about 5 of us in the room and we were very spaced out. To note though for those especially concerned, the door is closed the whole time and I didn't see particular notices about ventilation. Cons: - At times the movements could've been explained better for newbies. Sometimes sequences facing the mirrors made it harder to follow the instructor or tell which side of the body she was on. But then again I didn't take the fundamentals class first, and the instructor Stephanie was awesome at helping with adjustments. Tips: *Mats and equipment provided and cleaned afterwards. *Remember to bring grippy socks or be prepared to buy them (when I went, they were $16 including any tax for the sale socks which were in short supply, I think regular pairs were $18). *Street parking is easy to grab earlier in the morning right in front of the studio.

The instructors here are fabulous and they LOVE Barre which is awesome. I did Barre classes in the past with another company in CA, so I knew what to expect. The class was challenging for all levels of experience, and the instructors are super encouraging and fun. I'm so happy I joined!

The people were super nice the class was fine. This isn’t my type of workout so won’t go back and they are slightly aggressive in selling when you leave for free trial class

I’ll start by saying that as a physical therapist, I’m extremely picky about workout classes. But from the first time I went to pure barre in cap hill, I was hooked. Shiva, Erin, and every single instructor at this location know their stuff! The workouts are low impact but challenging and I’m always sore the next day. I cannot recommend them enough to anyone looking for a hard and safe workout. While Covid-19 has made a lot of gyms stay closed, I’m so happy pure barre was able to open, even with all of the state’s restrictions. They are so careful to maintain social distancing guidelines, sanitize everything, and just generally make sure every client is feeling safe and protected. During all the insanity of this year, the staff at pure barre has gone and above beyond with online workouts and in person classes to give everyone a sense of normalcy. I can’t recommend them enough!
