Whether you’re looking for handmade or conventional art supplies, this store has it all. In particular, I love their selection of fountain pen inks, journals and pens.

Push/Pull Ballard is an awesome place. They helped me print a zine (small art book) I had been working on for a while. The product came out top-notch and they handled the project very professionally. Their in-house staff is very knowledgable about what they do. Check out the store! Also, they have a great collection of stickers, art supplies, zines, and shirts for sale. Pop-up art classes also happen there. This store is a staple in Ballard.

Very cozy, very densely packed art supply store with plenty of variety for art needs. Small but powerful. The staff was very helpful and friendly when I had questions about trying a new medium and the prices are reasonable for something that isn't a chain. Definitely will be visiting here often.

Push/Pull fills a special spot in my heart for so many reasons. The presence of Push/Pull impacts the local community with such grand positivity, creativity, inclusion, and honesty. High quality art supplies galore! My favorite things sold here are the zines and comix.

Store is small and limited in variety of supplies but has generally cute vibes. Unfortunately there is no place the return policy is posted, and they don’t allow them, even for store credit. This should be posted by the register! Disappointed, and will likely shop at other stores in the future because of this policy even though it’s the closest art store to home.

Great range of supplies and (amazing) local art! I was nervous to go in, but they're so kind here! They are willing to take time to answer questions/guide you to supplies that will work best for whatever project you're working on.

Push/Pull is an "underground art and comix" shop that sells and promotes 'Art, Supplies, Classes, and Community.' Came here for the community aspect as they hosted one of many locations for a town wide community cocktail walk was going on. We sipped cardamom-lemon vodka here as featured by a local restaurant. While there we chatted with the shop employees who were very nice. While sipping we browsed the studio looking at are pieces by local artists which can be purchased. A perfect example of supporting small business and local art. Push/Pull lives up to their statement being a part of and promoting the community. There is a fair amount art supplies here - including but of course not limited to Sketch books, brushes, glazes, paints, easels and more. They offer classes and have info about events going, so if you're an artist and want to be in more 'in the know' it may be worth checking out Push/Pull simply for that.I hope Push/Pull continues to be a part of the neighborhood!
