If you're a small business looking for help understanding your taxes or bookkeeping, take your business elsewhere. I had signed on with Rain City Accounting in 2020, and I can't say that they were any better before or after Jain Accounting acquired them in 2024.
Jain lost important documents in my 2024 tax return which ended up almost costing me an additional $2,964 in taxes. When I caught this error, they did not do much by way of taking responsibility for this error. Furthermore, I can't imagine how many times this same error wasn't caught over the last four years of being their client. Mind you, when I caught this error, it was the FIRST TIME I managed to get someone on the phone.
I also brought up (during this one and only phone call) concerns that over the last four years of being a small business owner, I never received help on my deductions or understanding what I could write off, I likely ended up paying far more in taxes than I needed to. Jain told me they would look over the tax returns they failed to go over with me for a cool $450/hr. My new firm offered to fix Jain's mistakes for free.

We signed on with Rain City CPA in 2024, but after their sale to Jain Accounting in early 2025, everything went downhill fast. Jain “lost” documents we had uploaded, blamed us for their mistakes, delayed our return until August, sent us filings full of errors, and then shrugged off responsibility.
Communication was abysmal — emails and calls ignored, staff condescending, and even the CEO was unapologetic and unhelpful. At one point, when I asked a simple question about e-filing, an employee laughed at me.
Errors can happen, but the incompetence, lack of accountability, and outright disrespect we experienced were unacceptable.
Avoid Jain Accounting at all costs.

I met Jordie when he was the accountant for my firm. I was so impressed with him that I switched accounting firms to his when he opened his own office. He also does my personal taxes. Highly recommend Jain Accounting (formerly RainCity CPA) and their most competent group.

We had RainCity CPA do our taxes for three years and then moved away. I loved working with them. The firm is so helpful and compatent and I haven't found anyone comparable since.

I have been with Jordie and Rain City CPA since it first opened. Every employee I have been in contact with have responded quickly. They are very organized and up to date on all the tax laws, very friendly and patient with all my questions or when I goof up.Friends that I have referred to Rain City have also been very happy.

I should have left a review for Jordie and team years ago, as they have been handling my overly complicated taxes (multiple states, crypto, stock options, etc) making it look effortless for nearly a decade.They just came through for me again with a last minute amendment and other d*** questions and problems I had at the worst possible time (today is April 15).Thanks Jordie, James, Finn, Michelle and everyone else who has been so helpful over the years! I'll keep recommending RainCity CPA to anyone who asks. Reliable, professional and truly experts.

As the owner of a small creative business, taxes are the most daunting part of the job. I approached Rain City CPA several years ago and worked with Jordie, who was fantastic and walked me through every step of the process, making it feel effortless.Later, I got to work with Joe, who absolutely went above and beyond in every capacity since day one. During normal seasons, he was patient with my haphazard record keeping and talked me through every possible write off so I could file with confidence. When 2020 rolled around and my business was on the brink of collapse, Joe stayed in constant communication, alerting me with possibilities for financial relief. He clearly communicated deadlines and policy changes, but also showed incredible empathy and kindness during an impossibly stressful time. I really can't imagine navigating something as difficult as this year without Joe's help and am so thankful that I found him.Since working with Rain City CPA, my anxiety about filing receded - working with their team actually improved my quality of life and allowed me to focus on the creative part of my business.

This is my first negative Yelp review I have given, which is unfortunate. I had been with Rain City for 3 years and in general their service has been up and down, but overall acceptable. But in the 3 years, I had 3 different accountants work on my taxes each year and although the previous accountant was very pleasant to work with, the recent accountant has been dismissive and it has hit a low for me in terms of customer service. I had inquired a few questions that related to my tax returns and the accountant told me that he is busy with tax seasons so I should call up and set up an appointment instead of emailing him, which was alarming as most of my business in the past 3 years was all remote/via email with Rain City. I responded and the project manager replied explaining that I had sent multiple emails and questions that were not tax return related but "advisory" so now they were going to charge me $250/hour on these inquiries. I had some shifts in my home ownership and other areas of expenses this year that I was inquiring on - as it could impact how I file/prepare taxes. I was not asking anything that was beyond the scope of my return. The fact that they were going to charge me $250/hour to provide details to accurately file taxes was absurd. Unfortunately, I cannot support a business that does not build a relationship with their customers and nickel/dimes a service that is part of paying an accountant for. I am sad to say I will be looking for a new CPA this year.

Jordie has been doing our taxes for at least the last 6 years and we couldn't be happier with the service he has given us. We are only able to do our taxes on Saturday's because of work schedules and he has never ever had a problem coming in on Saturday for us. If we are ever concerned with any issues with our taxes he is always there to reassure us. We even take our 85 year old father in law to have his taxes done. I wouldn't even think of going anywhere else. He has been absolutely the best.
