I keep thinking about all the people at Resilient Heart Sanctuary all day today. They are so kind and sweet and just amazing people. And all future parents with meet and greet today were so awesome too. I made friends with them and exchange our number. Such a good feeling especially when I met with so many unkind people lately. Make me believe in humanity again.

Resilient Hearts is an amazing animal rescue that aims to save animals from high kill shelters! I've come in on three separate occasions, and staff are always friendly and inviting. They require you to mask up before entering, but they provide them if you don't have one on hand. There's always a couple loving dogs milling around, and I love how they allow visitors to provide socialization to these fur babies through visits/walks! Whenever I'm able to walk a dog, I take them just a short trip up the road (less than 10 min) to Gas Works Park! I love that walkers are provided with a convenient little bag packed with treats, poop bags, and a water bowl. I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with the dogs and it especially helps in times when i'm missing my own pups! Please stop by if you're in the Fremont area, it's a hidden gem I wish more people knew about. It's such a welcoming and loving space for animal lovers. You can also choose to foster if you wish :)

An amazing rescue that does incredible work on a shoestring budget. Help these folks out if you're able. Alyxx is so helpful!

I LOVE RESILIENT HEARTS!!!!!! The staff is so welcoming and always making sure that everything is as good as it can be for the animals. They are very careful that when you foster/get ready to adopt you and the animals will be a perfect fit! I volunteer there and I LOVE IT! If you just want to hang out with the animals you can! I would totally recommend fostering and adopting from this place. It's so nice that you can get to know the animals in an open and comfortable space, before you make any decisions to foster or adopt.

Resilient Hearts has been one of the easiest pet sanctuaries to work with! You can tell they have so much love for every animal they help! Fostering through them has been a breeze, I have felt so supported, and look forward to working with them in the future. I can't recommend them enough, they are the best!

This is a relatively new animal sanctuary in lower Wallingford. They have space for cats and dogs for adoption. It is run by kind, caring people who love the animals.

Really wonderful place, the people who work and volunteer here are doing amazing work. The kitten fostering program is maybe a work in progress, from my understanding, communication could have been better, but they’re it seems they’re working on it, really committed and doing so much for the community. I hope they know how much it is appreciated! Overall I was happy to be a tiny part of it.

Wow this place is amazing for dogs. They socialize the dogs in a play pin instead of lock them up in kennel. You can also take a dog for a walk. That is so amazing!

I'm so thankful I worked with RHAS to adopt my pup. I appreciate that they don't require a fenced back yard like many rescues since I live in an apt. They have an amazing network of fosters so most of the dogs get to stay with fosters instead of being sheltered. They are very intentional about socializing the dogs and have flexible foster-to-adopt options. I told them what I was looking for and they matched me with my sweet girl who is perfect for me. They supported me and answered all of my (very annoying) questions throughout the process. I wish more rescues followed they same model as they do because they do a great job taking care of the pups and supporting the adoptions.
