The asset loss prevention policies of this Ross location create a negative and inhospitable customer experience which discourages shopping here.
Upon entry, the first asset protection associate asked me to leave my backpack with him, which is a reasonable and common policy.
However, after I did so and after I was already in the store, a second associate walked over and said I have to leave my reusable bags at the entrance. One bag had merchandise from another store which I had to entrust to the staff to protect from loss.
While I understand they were simply enforcing policy, their behavior and speech implied that the use of canvas shopping bags was abnormal, suspicious behavior. This, in Seattle, one of the most sustainable cities in the USA, where the local government advocates reusable bags.
Although I found what I was looking for -- some warm winter flannels -- and the prices were a good value, I did not appreciate being treated like a criminal for merely being a paying customer with reusable bags.
I do not own a car, I use my ebike and public transit, and so I need a backpack to keep my personal belongings in. This should not be regarded by policy as a suspicious behavior in such a walkable city.
In the future, I may choose to purchase clothing at one of the neighboring stores which provide a much more welcoming and positive customer experience.

It was nice to open a Ross in the area , the store layout is okay. The security guard today was super nice and helpful. I gave a low rating due to the staff being unprofessional arguing with each other while customers are in line. The person helping me was irritated and going back and forth about another staff member telling her to move boxes while she was helping customers. This is a true example of donāt put to young of a person in charge unless they prove otherwise. Iām all about customer service I come shopping to relax not listen to staff argue.

When you shop at Ross, be sure to double-check the items and tags before you pay. I bought something and only realized after I got home that the tag didnāt match the item. When I tried to return it, the staff said they couldnāt accept it because of the mismatchāeven though they let it go through the checkout in the first place.
I asked the manager to check the security camera. She took my receipt, reviewed the footage, and then told me I didnāt even buy the item there.
There was also another issue with the pants that may have been altered by a previous customer before being returned. When I tried to return them, they blamed me for the alterations. Staff did not know everything sold there is not in perfect or new condition, so please take your time and check everything carefully before buying. You may not be able to return it later, even if you have a receipt.
Even though Ross isnāt expensive, itās still your hard-earned money.

Not sure why this place has to have āmetered entrancesā but it just one of the reasons Iāll not be shopping here. Itās like a police state in here. If Ross canāt hire enough workers to maintain their store, they should have a job fair. Loss prevention assumes everyone that comes in is going to steal. Itās surreal inside here. LP is mad dogging all of the customers.
Fix your store Ross!

I just went in to purchase 3 pairs of new tennis shoes for myself and there is no restroom for customer use, so I left my items there and will not shop at any of their locations again.

I'm absolutely thrilled with my shopping experience at Ross! This store has become my go-to destination for affordable luxury. The prices are incredibly low, and the quality of the products is top-notch. I've found an array of designer clothing, shoes, and accessories at a fraction of the original price. From high-end fashion brands to stylish home decor, Ross has it all.
What I love most about Ross is the thrill of the hunt. Every visit is like a treasure hunt, and I never know what amazing deals I'll find. The store is well-organized, making it easy to navigate and discover new gems. The staff is friendly and helpful, always willing to lend a hand or offer advice.
I've saved thousands of dollars shopping at Ross, and I couldn't be happier. The store's vast selection and discounted prices make it an ideal destination for anyone looking to upgrade their wardrobe or home without breaking the bank. Whether you're a fashionista, a bargain hunter, or just someone who loves a good deal, Ross is a must-visit.
Overall, I'm thoroughly impressed with Ross, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for quality products at unbeatable prices. Be prepared to find some amazing deals and have a fantastic shopping experience!

It's a big ross... Not a lot of women's shoes and socks but plenty men's. The door is heavily monitored in and out and for good reason. Lots of sketchy people in there. Obviously drg users. Witnessed a person actively walking out with merch..but I guess the guards can't do anything. Asked an employee for the restroom and he said no (door monitor).. asked another employee that was working the fitting room and she let us right in. Probably won't be going back to that location, even though we found some stuff. The environment was just not great.

Had a completely bizarre experience at this store today. I just stopped in to browse on my lunch break and was greeted with a roped off entrance and getting a speech about having metered entry now. After I presume checking to make sure I wasn't a known thief they let me in. It was very off-putting. I didn't even want to buy anything after that. Otherwise the store has a decent selection.

The store is well stocked and relatively clean/organized. Whatās off putting is the prevention loss team. They stand there at the front (3 of them,) in their full on uniforms and⦠One even had sunglasses on lol. I was followed at one point. Bruh, itās Ross West Seattle on a Saturday morning, youāre not that menacing.

This store is so inconsistent. Why does your website list your hours as 9am on a Sunday when at 9:36 you are not open? It must be a we make our own hours store.
