I love my cogniac amber earrings I bought from this cute shop in Pike Place. Ruby the owner really knows her gemstones and taught me about the healing properties of Amber. She has so much more to choose from as well. Love her stories and friendly customer service.

Beware of entrusting Ruby's to repair your jewelry. I had a very bad experience there. In summary, if your experience is like mine here's what you can expect:1. Poor communication.2. Careless handling of your valuables.3. Covering up mistakes by blaming customers. Here is what happend to me:I dropped off my gold plated necklace to get the clasp repaired. She gave me the claim slip and said someone would call me to give an estimate. No one ever called. I went back a week later to inquire. She called the jeweler who quoted $80 to repair the clasp. I said this is way too high and that I'd just rather have the necklace back. She said it would be back in a few days. I go back a week later and she doesn't have it and she cannot find it. I leave without the necklace and ask her to call me when she finds it. She calls back and leaves a message. I return the call and ask if she has found the necklace. She won't tell me, she just says to come back with the slip. I go back that day during business hours but she has closed early. She calls back the next day and asks why I didn't come yesterday, and I tell her that I did but no one was there. Next she says I must have already picked up the necklace because I have the slip. I explain that I never picked it up and I have the slip to prove it. She once again says that I must be mistaken that I must have already picked up the necklace because they don't have it. I once again tell her that I have the slip and not the necklace. She offers to pay 1/3 the replacement cost ($20 for a necklace I paid $60 for). I accept because I have lost all confidence that in her and I was tired of dealing with such a difficult person.
