Staff seem friendly, and it seems pretty clean. However, the fuel station technology is slow or doesn't work at all, despite them looking to be pretty new. I had to switch pumps because one just stopped processing all together and the second was also laggy.Prices are also crazy at over $5/gal, but that's everywhere right now.

Making my way south to Scandinavian Specialties today, Wednesday 17 May 2023 - also Norwegian Constitution Day, I ultimately decided to stop at this Safeway on 15th Avenue NW and NW 85th Street in part because of the flags for different Scandinavian countries (including Norway) hung on the outside of the building. The parking lot I found I could not turn into directly heading southbound on 15th Avenue NW, so I circled around to Mary Avenue NW for entering and exiting the lot. Parking spots were abundant, directions to drive marked, and spots easy to maneuver in and out of. I was on the hunt for a sweet eats video item - something not too expensive that ideally I had not had before and would keep a few days to two weeks. I ended up going with a package of Sour Punch mini bites.Workers I interacted with were helpful and transparent in their interactions. Payment was straightforward. I brought in a baggie with change to pay, but unfortunately the self check-out kiosk I was using did not accept cash payment. So instead I paid with the next best thing in my wallet - my debit card. Prices I encountered for items of interest and the item I ended up purchasing were competitive with other grocery stores.

If you ever get gas at Safeway and everyone is having to go inside to pay, leave immediately. I got ripped off yesterday. It got billed as groceries instead of gas, so excess funds didn't return to me when I placed the nozzle back in the holder. If it had been billed as gas this would have been done automatically. I wonder if they even actually rigged the whole thing so people would have to come in to pay. I've never had a problem with this place until yesterday. Just be warned.

Good prices but not much room for waiting in line.

The produce section is always missing something like potatoes or tomatoes. The shopping carts and litter outside of the store make it hard to walk around the building. It wouldn't take much to make it easier to walk around, but try to get past the shopping cart gauntlet on the 85th st side.

This Safeway fuel station is right next to the Safeway on 15th in Ballard. It's sometimes a little tough to get into due to traffic and the entry. They have two sides to fill up on, so there's probably 10 to 12 pumps. Gas prices here are way better than Shell up the road pretty much all the time.

Chrisselle is one of the best baristas at this Starbucks. She went overboard and helped me with what I wanted. She has a good smile and and she's pretty nice with me. Positive attitude!!!!

A grocery store. You can find the same and similar items at any store, really, but here I especially like the soft lighting and warm tones throughout. It seems newly renovated and the space is inviting. Parking aplenty, outside, making it easy to hop in for items needed on your way home.
