This store has the best prices in Uptown Seattle. It's convenient and the Checker let me get a $2.76 Dryers ice cream without the digital coupon.
Shhhh.

I like the store, but too much drug activity.

No restrooms for customers, even when attempting to change a baby’s diaper.
While I respect there may be reasons to not provide public restrooms, to deny the ability to change a baby’s diaper is ridiculous.

Instead of doing right by their customers and making sure this is a safe and pleasant place to shop, they kowtow to the homeless and criminals instead. Every couple of months a Safeway in the Seattle area does away with their restrooms. I am so loyal to this grocery store, they’re the last good big grocery store in the city, but they’re slowly, store by store, losing my family and I as customers. I’ll never come to this one again, the amount of rif-raf here is unacceptable. What a shame. Seattle is going to hell in a handbag.

I don't know what happened, but the roasted chicken drumstick I bought tasted like toothpaste. It's hard to imagine what happened, and what's worse is that I already ate it. A few hours after eating it, I felt uncomfortable in my stomach and had diarrhea. I plan to throw away the rest.

I was denied the ability to use the restroom in a public place and I have a condition to where it causes me to urinate quite frequently and to be denied access to a human right is indecent not to mention against the law because people could end up with serious infections or end up in the hospital from not being able to urinate

This location is known as the “Unsafeway.” I shop here frequently and there is someone stealing things just about every time I come in to shop. There have been many instances of drugged up people acting violent inside the store too. There are often people smoking hard drugs and panhandling right outside the entrance. Security here hardly makes a difference, have seen people walk out with their jackets full of stolen goods without even a look from security. Can’t wait until the new Safeway on top of Queen Anne opens so I can go there instead.

It is a medium-sized supermarket with easy parking in downtown Seattle.

Who does quality control at this Safeway? The past few times I visited (as it’s the closest grocery store) I have purchased fruit that was not fresh (smelled awful when I opened the package)!!!
Also, when I walk down the aisles, I find molded food and outdated meat! See the photos and comparison of the two meats!
The homeless thieves make it uncomfortable to shop here! I witnessed a lady walk in, fill her bag and walk straight out without paying. Homeless people live in the parking garage.
I drive all the way to Ballard’s Safeway when time permits even though this store is less than two minutes away!

Lovely staff. Always seemed stressed on Cheap Chicken Mondays. Unfortunately limited stock of meat and produce. Sometimes the pre-made food is just not up to standard. Eating potato salad at the moment where the potatoes are not fully cooked (or I guess I’m not really eating it since I don’t care to eat raw potatoes)
