I never really had problems with it however I am a mental health housing in some of the other residents I like it but the prices are actually pretty affordable for it being organic

Rude security officer, trash overflowing in can, no bathroom, and no one working customer service, so we left. Terrible, do better, you are a billion dollar company, act like it.

Can't beat Safeway! Unless you're WinCo. ;) But Safeway is much more accessible for me rn.

Wow! This may have been like a universe test. I went in to grab a few items for dinner. I paid for the items at Self check out. Unaware at the time, I dropped 100 dollar bill. I went back to my car. Sat a moment and made some business calls. A guy, whom I had seen around came out ranting. His issue was that he found 100 dollar bill. The I assume manager took it from him. As he was telling me the story. I began to search my pockets. Sure enough. My 100.00 was missing. I thought a stroke of luck I could go in and tell the manager. When I asked him about it. He said flat out lying no. I was beside my self. Almost loosing my composure. He essentially stole the money. Strong armed the guy, and lied to me. It is a sad world we live in.

This store has some of the best people working there of any grocery store in Seattle. They are kind, hard working and deserve better than what this store has become. The surrounding area is overwhelmed by homeless people and the gas station is teaming with people aggressively asking for money. That’s a really tough spot to put your employees but the policies they have tried to implement in reaction to this make everyday shopping their incredibly frustrating. I mostly use the self checkout option and they have implemented increased “detection” of possible theft using video cameras. Fine I get it, but I’ve had several interactions where the video system thinks I’m trying to steal something and the employee who is required to come clear the system is short with me, accused me of not properly scanning my items and even when they count everything and agree it’s an error, not theft, give me a ton of attitude about them having to come help me. Even after the video scanning I need to get my receipt “checked” by a security guard who doesn’t even pretend to look at my receipt or cart. None of this actually solves theft. If I’m going to steal something I’m not going through sleight of hand tricks under a camera, I’m sticking it in my bag and walking out, which I watch happen at least once a visit. My wife and I have both had awful experiences here and have decided to no longer shop there. Don’t setup policies that alienate and burden your paying customers. I don’t want to shop somewhere that I have to constantly prove I’m not shop lifting. Again, this stores employees are for the most part amazing people, this is a systems and policy issue but it still makes the store a terrible experience. Do better Safeway.

Most of my experiences with this store have been good as it’s the grocery store across the street from our apartment and it’s very convenient however tonight I had an experience that was way less than satisfactory. I understand that the store closes at 11:00 pm however when I show up at 10:50 and am turned away when I need two items for something to make for a family member who I have not seen in a long time and say your hour clearly state your open until 11:00 pm and the security guard through a closed door asks an associate if it’s okay to let me in and then the security guard says sorry they’re saying no not to let any more customers in there’s clearly a problem. If your short staffed hire more people or if you have a function that you want to get to like going out to the bar or going to a party maybe ask your manager not to put you on night shift? I never write bad reviews but I’m less than satisfied and very upset that my time and evening was potentially ruined because of someone not wanting to “do the job they are paid to do”!

Good location, parking lot, fresh products, Starbucks inside the store.

Says it closes at 11 pm. Got there 10 min before 10 to grab 1 item and they didn’t let me in. Open until 11 means 11, not 10:50.

Location is the reason for 3 stars.. This Safeway has an institutional feel to it, but only because of its understandable reaction to the trials the opiate epidemic has put it through. Be sure to get there at least 20 minutes before closing time as the employee's lock the doors 15 minutes before the POSTED closing time. Want ice-cream at 10:50pm? Well tough break, you're S.O.L.

Management is cruel to houseless people, borderline abusive. Clear he gets a power trip from it.

Prices are almost as bad as ballard market, but they have zero staff, and the corridors are patrolled by random homeless people stealing stuff. Its almost just fair though, right? I mean the store is robbing us blind too. So, ok, I guess. Regardless, I seen no reason to ever set foot here again. Long live Trader Joe's and Costco.

Good selection of things. Also I’ve had REALLY positive employee interactions. On the other hand it can be kind of sketchy here. One time I was walking down an isle that smelt so badly of poop I gagged. I noticed it was coming from another customer. I really needed something where that man was but didn’t know what to do so I just ended up leaving. Also the pharmacy rarely picks up the phone. I asked the pharmacy about it and I think they need a better phone management. They need a hold option if someone else is already on the line. If someone is already on the line it just ends the call and you have to go through the LONGGG recording to call back. I’ve called more than 3 times before with no answer.

We were followed around the store by a guy who turned out to be loss prevention. Stalked me isle to isle. Looked at my wife alot and made her extremely uncomfortable. I went to tell staff I was being followed when they informed me he was loss prevention. This is unacceptable behavior. We will not be coming back here again.

The pharmacy. You have to pray that you get there when this one person who is there, isn’t there, because when you see here you are going to realize your experience will be difficult.
When I called to complain and speak to management they stated they would train their staff as they see fit.
Nit everybody is capable of customer service. I’m leaving this store because of it. And I’m nit the only one.
