Like other reviewers, I’ve been aggressively and rudely treated by their receipt-checkers on the way out of the store, when I exercise my right to refuse. Time to get a different loss prevention vendor or lose A LOT of business from the neighborhood.

It's nice to have a well-stocked store nearby, staffed by kind and helpful people. The produce is poor. I don't mind showing receipts, especially since the folks at the door are nice and generally sympathetic. The profusion of locks is starting to seem patronizing and imperious.

I’d have really appreciated if the cashier who was ringing up my groceries wouldn’t have told me that “food is the better pharmacy” or that “if I ate more vegetables then I wouldn’t have to go to the pharmacy” upon noticing that I had just picked up my prescription (mind you I literally had nothing BUT vegetables in my basket so ???). Safeway, please tell Elias that my reasons for visiting the pharmacy are none of his business and that it’s actually quite inappropriate to make comments on my medical needs! :)
Giving 2 stars because I want to give a positive shout out to one of the new receipt check ladies (don’t know her name, but she has long silver hair). She is always VERY sweet to me and I appreciate her warm attitude among the annoying increased security measures. She at least makes it feel semi-positive!

I moved to Seattle two months ago and this is the nearest Safeway to my house. I really did appreciate the customer service from everyone at the store the staff is amazing ,especially Frank every time I ask him about a product he always knows where to find it . I shopped at Safeway all my life and this location is going to be my home store from now on.

I love this neighborhood safeway, been going here for 25+ years! My curly haired checker Fiona walked me through how to use the app and explained to me how to use my digital coupons. Always so helpful. Crossing my fingers I can remember how to do it on my own.

Store looks nice but they force you to use a huge cart or carry everything in your arms after 8PM! They put away the baskets at 8pm. It’s not even dark out yet. They also only have self checkout at this time.
This is all ridiculous and makes the customer feel completely uncared for. Not to mention how frustrating for anyone who has difficulty reaching into those deep carts or who would benefit from assistance with checkout and bagging.
I won’t be back here until/unless they change their policies. I recommend QFC for a better evening experience!
Giving two stars instead of one because it looks clean inside and there’s a decent parking lot. I guess it’s good for people who shop in the daytime.

I would like to give a shout-out to both the management and bakery department at the Roosevelt Safeway. There was a mishap on my cake order and store manager Mike Anderson and bakery worker Drew were extremely patient with me and professional. They remedied the situation and they did it with smiles. Much appreciated. Love the Roosevelt Safeway!
