Wow... I loved the HOKUSAI exhibit The museum was well curated with exhibits flowing in a conscious arrangement that lead you looking for the next grouping. The Japanese block print exhibit is really what we were there for and I am still in awe of the work the artists produced so long ago and the colours that have lasted the teat of time. Totally worth it of you visit with the City Pass discount coupon Seattle has for visitors. The cost is 30% less! The staff were kind and helpful as you get to the inner areas it is easy to get turned around.

Nice gift collection but weird staff. The lady with the short grey hair and glasses was super rude and loud. I felt very uncomfortable.

Adorable cards, magnets, jewelry, and books of art. A great museum to visit and I enjoyed looking at all the beautiful art work. A great place to visit in a rainy day or evening.

Love the SAM Shop! Friendly staff and great inventory. Honestly, the best museum store in town. Great for souvenirs and gifts too!

My friend was able to reserve free tickets online prior to our visit, therefore we didn't have to wait in line at all. I highly recommend looking up tickets so you don't have to wait in a long line in the heat.We got through the entire thing faster than I expected, regardless it was fun. There's several interesting art pieces and the giant dining table is pretty cool.

You don’t get much to see in the museum. If you are a fan of modern art, you may find something to enjoy. After the tour, I went to market place on the first floor. The lobster roll is delicious and the vibe is great.

The art is lovely and hung very artful. The people that monitor the gallery are storm troopers that severely diminish the experience. I believe having people there making sure the art is secure and safe is excellent. But jumping people for taking a photo of a drape, touching a column, standing in the wrong spot far from any art is excessive. Three of us seniors went and we all got chewed out for these kinds of issues.

This shop is located on the ground ĺevel of the SAM, and I consistently have found it to be the perfect place to pick up a thoughtful (or sometimes last minute) gift for the people that I find to be the most difficult to pick something out for. The staff are friendly are friendly, attentive, and always willing to answer a question or talk about art with.

We came not in the best time. Between excebitions. So we didn't had too much to see. I wish they had guided tour for the permanent show.
