Took my car in for an oil change and investigation of sticking front brakes 6 months ago. They told me I needed new calipers and rotors and quoted me something like $1500
Ended up taking apart the brakes myself and the calipers were completely fine, replaced the pads and rotors for $200 and brakes have been perfect since. Also just did my latest oil change and realized they had overtightened the filter by at least 10-20x torque specified by Toyota. Spent a crazy amount of time wrenching off the filter which should have been hand tight.
I think because I drive a Prius they assumed that I have no idea about cars and tried to take advantage. Glad I have a house/ garage now and can do these things myself and not be scammed by 2 bit mechanics.

I’ve been taking my car here for the last 5 years. I’ve had great experiences every time, and the last time was no exception. I had a bad fuel purge valve and they were able to get me in the next day. Michal took care of me and got me in and out in less than 3 hours.
The guys here are hard working and honest, and I really appreciate their work. If you have issues with your car, take it here!

I had a very weird experience here, i called to ask if they do refill freon, they said yes and it's around 220$
I was ok with that and asked if an appointment required and they said no i can just drive so i did, was like 40 mins driving but when i arrived the guy suddenly said he didn't say come over but he said next week Tues or Wed! As they going to close soon (he was obviously make it up because what about Mon? They open in that day) so i thought he may confused me with someone else, but he was talking with a serious face that he said next week.
It seems like they only serve certain kind of people/race, so i left.

They saved me $2300 that the Toyota dealer quoted me for. Turns out I didn’t need any work done and the folks here at Scott Sherman were transparent and honest about that. I appreciate these guys and I would recommend anyone to go here if they need any auto work done!

TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! I do not do reviews often, but the employees at Scott Sherman truly deserve all the credit after the experience I had with them. I got referred to them from another Auto place in town. I called in a panic/mid mental breakdown due to being in a transition from school to a job, running out of funds, AND I live in the vehicle getting worked on. The gentleman offered to allow me to stay in the vehicle overnight on their lot if I needed, they got my car fixed in 2 days, and gave me a 10% discount as a first time customer. AND gave me the confidence to calm down and trust that they were going to help me work through this challenge.
When I was still having some issues the next day they let me come back in looked at it for free and again gave me a discount on the next issue we had to work through. NOT TO MENTION, through all of my questions as a nervous person under stress with min to mod knowledge on car things from my uncles, they explained everything to me in layman's terms. The honesty and straight forwardness was incredible. It truly felt like a collaborative experience and gave me the autonomy to make informed decisions about my situation.
I will be back for any issues I might have in the future and will be referring everyone I care about to them.

I cannot say enough about this place. Not only do they do excellent work... they are also a pleasure to deal with. I feel that they are honest and don't take advantage of people who don't know much about cars. Excellent work and great staff. And Lucy is a bonus!

I can’t recommend these mechanics enough!!! We were on a road trip driving through Seattle when our check engine light came on. They squeezed us in to check out what was wrong even though they were busy into next week and were amazingly generous in their willingness to fix the issue. It was particularly kind of them help us as we didn’t live in Seattle and were just passing through. They were incredibly generous, and even offered that I could call them to ask for advice if the issue came back up on our trip. Thank you soooo much Michol and Tony! Would highly recommend this shop!

I've taken my car here twice in about a six month span and every time it's always been such a awesome experience. Michol , Tony , and the entire shop are always great with there work and what they do. If you need a local shop in the Greenwood area , this is the best place to take your vehicle. Absolutely amazing!

Really nice and knowledgeable… and not in a man-splaining way. I took my Buick in to check the defrost and they had the car ready in a couple hours at an amazing price. I’m taking my car in tomorrow for a different issue and I have no worries about it. Plus, they’re open on Saturdays.

I had an issue with my car starting, seemingly an issue with the terminals and brought it to this shop. They looked at it right away and spotted a small crack in one of the terminals (I didn't spot it when I looked before). The swapped the broken one out for newer and sturdier one and the car started better than ever. They didn't charge me at all, neither for the time spent or the part. Excellent service and communication.
