Birds Connect Seattle has taken an agressive and barbaric approach disguised as "conservation". They are calling for the slaughter of thousands of barred owls in order to "save" the spotted owl. When trying to engage with this organization over social media on this issue they have blocked me and others. Birds Connect is not interested in protecting all birds, but they are interested in supporting animal cruelty as a means of pleasing the governmental agencies they work with. This is a an awful organization and their cruel stance towards barred owls is truly heartbreaking.

Lots of helpful books. Birding supplies. Centrally located, north of UW. More than birding, they provide information that explains the ecosystem in which birds live their cycle of existence.

Lots of great stuff to buy and super helpful and knowledgeable staff. I needed to buy some binoculars and the staff spent over 15 minutes with me trying out a couple pairs and patiently explaining the differences. Great cause, great shop, great staff!

I have been driving by the Birds Connect Seattle (formerly known as Seattle Audubon Society) for ages and today I finally went in. This shop is an absolute treasure! They have so many books, binoculars and all things birds! They sell a variety of things, and are run by very nice people. I couldn’t resist some coffee and stickers for me.I love that they not only have a shop for all your birding (and gifting!) needs, but they have a station where you can learn about nests. They are truly unique.

Thanks, as always, to the Birds Connect Seattle Nature Shop. Sarah helped me get my binoculars sent in for repair, and got me a loaner to boot. Wonderful optics expertise. I couldn’t resist picking up a book to help me study for me next trip while I was there. Always a good experience.

We were recently in and bought a pair of binoculars and were served by a knowledgeable and friendly sales person. They had a reasonable variety of products to choose from and we also bought field guides. They appear to be the best place locally to check out items like binoculars. I was disappointed although not surprised by their recent decision to omit the name Audubon from their official name, a gesture aimed at clarifying their views on racism, which I and most people hold. However, I would think that a statement of forgiveness would have been more constructive. Forgiveness is the second stage of successful reconciliation. The first one is asking for it and I am going to assume that Audubon, if he had the perspective we have today and could return, would be doing that. What we need in our country is more reconciliation and less virtuous preening.

Great place to go to buy gifts and to try out binoculars and spotting scopes. Recommend. They've got a good selection from low end to high end. A lot of Nikon, Zeiss and Vortex models of binoculars. Also Swarovski and some others.
