Love this craft store, not ADA accessible.I had come here once on my own, and the second time with a friend who's in a wheelchair.Aisles are tight and crowded with products, Initially I only found it a bit bothersome but seeing as though my friend wasn't able to even comfortably move his wheel chair between aisles without bumping into boxes or getting stuck was disappointing.I recommend reorganizing to make it more accessible for disabled folks, this is an important part of the community and it would show that you care about your disabled community members.I'll be coming back but I really hope to see this important change next time! Not having enough space is not a good excuse to not be accessible, we owe it to our community!

I am mail artist and rubber stamp collector. I love to find reuse art stores to see what I can add to my collection and collage stash. Great shop, very well organized, and prices are very fair.

Not from the area. I showed up last minute. Hopped on a bus from downtown. I literally ran from my bus stop shins burning just to buy pens really quick and explained that to them. Instead of welcoming and understanding shop workers she was just rude about it. Was instructing me to get them now nearly yelling and in a rude tone. It’s one thing to say yes or no politely. I would be understanding if they would’ve not been able to. But to go total Karen bc you want to get home two minutes sooner… wow.I’ll support an art store who is passionate about sharing art with others NO MATTER WHAT. As a true artist would. Would not recommend this place to people who want to support a genuine and down to earth art shop. That showed me their true colors as a business and art shops should be rooted in art at the core imo

This craft thrift store has an especially lovely and well- organized selection of yarn to thrift from. Fiber projects (knitting, crochet, tufting) can get expensive quickly, especially if you want to use sustainable yarn options. The yarn here is sorted into a few different categories: - fancy (mohair, wool, nicer blends) 25/lb or as marked on the skein label - wool blends 17/lb or as marked- cotton blends 10/lb or as marked - acrylic blends 5/lb There is some interesting yarn to be found here. About half of the yarn are full skeins, and the other are scraps/ half balls or bits (would be great for a patchwork quilt project). I've seen vintage yarns here that I would never have come across otherwise - some of these are from the 1900s. Sears apparently used to sell yarn and has a brand called Fairloom that's only sold on eBay now. There's also yarns from labels or lines that have been discontinued, so cool to find them here. They have some of the box name Lion Brand and Berroco, but also luxury yarns like Brooklyn Tweed and Rowan - also local yarns from the PNW. Besides the yarn, there's so many little craft categories to explore!

I previously posted a review about another business here by accident and wasn’t posting about a pleasant experience. ? ☺️Here’s the review for Seattle ReCreative: My daughter directed me to this business to pick up some craft supplies for my lengthy visit in Seattle. I found just what I needed and at a great price! The staff is very friendly, and the owner is very understanding about my mis-post. Check this business out!

Not only do I like donating here, as I feel great someone else will love the supplies I can't use anymore, but it's always fun to have a look around with my wish list to see if something has shown up. Crafters Paradise! Great, friendly staff.

I don’t know if any other secondhand art store, but the staff here has always been extremely kind and I’ve gone here all my arts and crafts! For my drawing class at college, my own embroidery hobby, my friend’s crochet hobby, and now that I’ve picked up sewing I’ve gone here for patterns and materials. Extremely reasonably priced and I can do so much more with my hobbies with my budget. It can seem a bit crowded and overwhelming at first, but once you go a few times then you know where to look and it isn’t as overstimulating

This store is so captivating I have to impose personal limits on how many times I can go and how long I can stay. Everything is so affordable and you’re bound to find whatever you need (and more) plus the concept and mission are just great.

the best art store ever. definitely not the place to go if you're looking for specific paints etc, but i've found some amazing hidden treasures, and i never leave empty handed. photo negatives, tarot cards, new fabric and yarn, funky sketchbooks, sea glass, vintage wrapping paper... everything is super cheap, and it's easy to explore for hours-- i always have to be dragged out

This store has never failed to increase the number of items in my possession. Sometimes I even use them! A most wonderful place to go when you have a draft of a draft of a project idea. Sometimes you'll finish the idea, sometimes you'll finish the project, and no matter what you'll have a small human interaction that heals your wounded outlook on the state of the world. Seattle is dying but at least we have SRC. ❤️

Have an artists' block? Come to this store! You will find odd and unusual art supplies that will likely strike inspiration! This has been my experience, as I usually come in to get ideas. I love the philosophy behind the store, in that everything can have a second life as art. For example, one time I needed to create a "mechanical" makeup look and I found nuts, bolts, and spinning gadgets from here that ended up elevating my look. I think I spent about 25 cents in total. One man's trash is definitely another man's treasure in this store! Highly recommend for a starting artist who wants to dip their toes into creating art but wants to do it on a budget, or even a more experienced artist that needs to break out of their comfort zone and try something different.

Great for things like fabric samples, buttons, fancy yarn, beads, wooden stamps, and lots of completely random odds and ends :) Masks still required, but there are some provided.

Absolutely love this store! I didn’t go in with a clear idea of what I wanted, but I left with some beautiful cones of specialty yarn. I want to go back as soon as I can!
