My daughter was commenting in the car about how many happy memories she has from her time at Small Faces. She has been attending since preschool and is now in the after-school program. This place is a gem. The teachers are wonderful. ❤️

I’m really happy that my kiddo ended up at Small Faces! Everyone I’ve worked with in the past couple of years takes safety of the kids very seriously, and it shows in their communication about building updates, neighborhood alerts, current events, illnesses — all of the important things. They are all for helping educate parents in addition to the kids who attend; I’ve gained more social-emotional knowledge than I ever thought I would from a preschool! The giant playground has something for every kid. The emphasis on play-based learning is genuinely woven into everything they do. No preschool is perfect, but the effort from the teachers and staff to help every kid through these challenging years shines through.

We have been on their waitlist for 3 years with no communication from them unless I reach out asking for an update. We also had to pay $100 to get on this waitlist which always seemed odd to me, but because we were told our child is next in line on the waitlist we believed it was worth it. In the last 6 months I have asked for a refund of the $100 waitlist fee since a 3 year waiting period is totally unreasonable. All I want is a refund for the service I never received. Save your money and avoid signing up for the waitlist since we have been next in line to get in for 3 years now.

This preschool has been a wonderful community for my son. The teachers are loving and supportive and my son comes home each day excited and happy and telling me stories of his day. My son was with a nanny for his first 3 years, threw big tantrums, and had really no friends when he started in Tree Frogs. Within a few weeks of starting Small Faces his language and expression blossomed and his tantrums died down. Within a couple of months he had formed close friendships with a few other kids in his class. The kids spend upwards of 3 hours outside each day on an amazing playground. Most preschools don't have this kind of outside space so it is a real benefit. The teaching team and leadership have strong guiding principals and teaching philosophies. Although the policies seem to be a little overdone sometimes, I appreciate that there are clear policies and transparency around those policies so we know what to expect. Overall this has been a wonderful, high quality preschool for our family.

My kids went here from the ages of (I think) 3 to 5. The staff really cared about them and took excellent care of them the whole time. Prior to this, they had gone to a different place with staff that was inattentive, so I was apprehensive about any daycare but had no problems here. I was kept updated on behavior, progress, any issues. It wasn't just a place to keep them while I was at work but something that really helped with their development. It's been years but my kids still have good memories of the place and liked everyone from the teachers (that's not the right term but I'm not sure what to call them) up to the manager, and they even remember really liking the food that was served for lunch. It's hard to find trustworthy and reliable daycare so I can't recommend this place enough.

Poor communication. They will happily take a placement deposit and never contact you again. Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.
