Came here for reactive dog issues. Jeff (the only person we worked with) was nice and accommodating. No complaints on that. I'll even say that a few people who had dogs that couldn't even be in the room for the program "seemed" like they were going to get some special deal as a result of a failed class experience.
As for our experience. We would go into a large room, stand around the sides with other dogs, and for the first 4 of 6 classes was just barking and trying to calm them down. This is something we can easily do on our own just walking around outside (and we do every single day).
The 5th and 6th (final) sessions, the number of dogs was reduced and we walked around a bit.
My issues, and the reason for the low review at this time is the fact that we got no personalized recommendations or help on what we should be doing or how we should be correcting our dog. We would have been "ok" with being told that our dog was a lost cause and there isn't anything we can do. But instead we had ~6 classes of barking at other dogs and left to figure out what we needed to work on by using YouTube videos and other online resources.
The other option was another facility north of this location... but honestly that one seems even worse as far as collecting money and offering generic services that ultimately won't help most people that actually need help. Again, if you have a Golden or other dog that is already "fine" in most situations then sure you can come here for some group sessions.

Sound Animals I'd an awesome place, with great, helpful and caring people who really train with the dogs' needs in mind, which is rare for group classes.

Been bringing my dog here for the puppy socialization sessions. Juls- the dog trainer - is fantastic! She’ll give you helpful advice on how to make your pup feel comfortable and grow confident. Would definitely recommend this place.

I'm shocked by some of the negative reviews here. I took my rescue pup Diesel, hoping Julie and Sound Animal Services would be able to help. Diesel has a trauma history that makes him leash reactive and easily overstimulated. The first night, he had to stay behind a barrier and barked the whole time. I told Julie I didn't think we could come back but she encouraged me to stick it out and I'm so glad we did. We're almost done with basic obedience and it's been a game changer. Diesel can sit in the main room now and participate in the off leash playtime without problems. He has amazing recall and I've enjoyed working with him to grow our bond and enrich his life. I'm hoping to take the intermediate and advanced classes in the future to keep working on Diesel. I'm so glad I was referred to SAS. We'd tried other trainers who didn't actually let us practice with the dogs during the session, just talked at us. As a hands on learner, I appreciate that Julie has us all practice together and walks around, giving feedback. It's like I have a different dog now.

Took my 12 week old puppy for playtime. No one verified our vaccinations, and there seemed to be no one verifying age either. Some very large, clearly-not-puppies were in attendance. I was slightly concerned about this for exposure reasons since small puppies are especially vulnerable until fully vaccinated. The second time we attended, my puppy was actually attacked (twice) by an aggressive dog. The staff handled this poorly. On top of all of this, the facility is not well kept and when dogs pee or poop it is not cleaned up in a timely manner. I would not recommend this facility. Look elsewhere for your puppy.

Extremely welcoming and relaxed. I attended their puppy socialization class and felt like all puppies were safe and supported. The trainer was great and responsive to the puppies needs and parents questions. The class was dedicated to playing, with as little or as much parent interaction as wanted.
The trainer taught the parents how to properly protect their pups when nervous and helped to point out unacceptable behavior and how to address the behavior. The class provided open play time with the opportunity to interact with other puppies too, not just your own.
The space is large with a garage door that opens to fresh air and sun. Plenty of parking and a great group of pups with all different sizes and play-styles.

Jeff is an incredible trainer and a really nice person. He has helped us train 3 dogs with classes and in-home training. He is creative and fun with training - and includes our kids in the process. I can't say enough good things about Sound Animal Services.

After going through a Petsmart training class I came here. It was nice to work with Jeff who helped me teach my dogs to live in this crazy human's world. I wanted my dogs to be dogs and not little humans. I have since taken an interest in becoming a trainer and volunteered to work with Jeff.
