They have a terrible online experience and I would not recommend banking with them to anyone. It is 2023 and I have been a customer for 3 years. Their web payment system has barely worked for the entire time and they have not made any changes or updates to their system. Customer service is always nice and says their website will be getting an update soon.... I do not understand how they have stayed in business this long.

There is a 30 day hold on your money when you open an account so it’s worthless. If you deposit any money they refuse to let you take it out because of this policy. They make sure to not tell you this when you sign up for an account.

Run away! They do not answer the phone, they do not return your emails, they charge you fees that that you cannot answer to or contest because they apparently have a no callback/emailback policy. Worst bank I have every been associated with.

Extremely limited services - 2 ATMs in the entire city. 'Network' ATMs are unreliable, often out of service, their map is out of date. Don't sign up with them, you'd end up with a bank that lacks features every time you need something, a phone app that constantly crashes, a website that's always down for maintenance. Their phone support is usually nice - best I can say for them - but the wait times are extremely long and you often will end up with a rep who's just rude & disrespectful. Keep looking. This is the wrong credit union for anyone.

5 Star Experience!I accepted a job offer and relocated to Seattle from Los Angeles in 3 weeks! I had just purchased a vehicle and was looking into Credit Unions in Seattle to refinance with. Sound Credit Union stood out right away by their website! It was so easy to navigate and easy to find the information i was looking for. I noticed they were offering a 2% cash back option and was very interested. I fill out an application online and received a call almost instantly. I was connected with Jasmine Horton-Carroll and my experience with her was nothing but perfect! Jasmine was very helpful and responsive at all times! We communicated mostly via email, which was perfect for me as my schedule was very hectic as i was getting ready to move. Aside from refinancing, Jasmine was even able to approve me for a credit card with a balance transfer offer to help me out with some other credit card debt i had. When it came down to sign all the documents, i was able to make an appointment on a Saturday (SUPER CONVENIENT) and worked with Cindy at the Burien office. Cindy was ready for me at the set appointment time and i was in and out in under an hour. Once the documents were signed, the 2% cash back was deposited into my account! :)This process was so easy and smooth! Thank you so much Jasmine for all your help and patience throughout this process. So happy i chose to go with Sound Credit Union!

Today, I walked to the West Seattle Sound Credit Union and discovered the doors locked. There was a note on the door stating that appointments were required. I was so disappointed to read that, as I am rarely in that location and I had wanted to take care of an online issue I was having. While I was getting ready to leave, Jasmine opened the door. She was so friendly and helpful, asked me what I needed and kindly allowed me to enter. It took a while to straighten out my issue, but Jasmine had the best customer service the entire time. She went above and beyond, taking her time with me and making sure that my concern was resolved and my account was accessible. She was friendly, put me at ease, and never made me feel like I was imposing on her time despite the fact that I didn’t have an appointment. Bravo to Jasmine. When so much is going wrong around us, it was nice to experience her humanity. Thank you so much, Jasmine. You are an example of exceptional customer service!
