I have always had a good experience here and had been looking for a nice salon with hair dressers who know how to cut Asian hair in Seattle. It’s clean and the staff are always super nice and Yuki does a great job !

Highly recommend the stylist Kai for Japanese hairstyle and straightening. I have been looking for a stylist who knows how to deal with natural curvy Asian hair and he is the one the best. He is super detailed, very gentle when washing my hair and drying it. I did hair straightening and hair cut and it is so smooth and looks so good afterward. 5 stars!!

I always get great service from Ten Pachi. It's difficult to find stylists who can handle my stubborn hair and so far I always leave satisfied!

Ten Pachi is removing my reviews. I am reposting my review as a public service warning: DO NOT GO TO TEN PACHII feel bad that I am writing this review but every time I look at my hair I want to burst into tears.I was in town visiting my parents and I was desperate for a haircut so I booked a last minute appointment at Ten Pachi. The hair cut started off really weird, as I was telling the stylist about what kind of cut I wanted she cut me off and ushered me off to wash my hair. She didn't ask me about the type of hair I have naturally, how I wear my hair or anything like that. She didn't even seem to really even listen to the information I voluntarily gave. She indicated where she wanted to cut based on the photos I showed her and I approved. I realize now that this may have been my bad, I realize that my regular stylist leaves my hair an 1" to .5" longer than I want because it bounces up when it dries. I feel like this is something she should know being that she is a hair stylist but maybe I needed to be specific. Either way my hair is now short. Very short.Next, I told her that my hair is naturally curly so after its cut my regular stylist goes in with thinning scissors so I don't end up with a pyramid shape. As she was "thinning" out my hair I noticed large clumps of my hair coming out to which she then aggressively brushed out. This is not something I've seen done on my hair before but as a professional I do not micromanage other professionals. I just assumed she knew what she was doing and let her work. When she was all done and stepped away I was shocked. Like I mentioned above, my hair was short but more than that while the top of my hair had proper thickness the bottom of my hair was sad stringy pathetic mess. She had thinned out my hair so much that I had very 1/4 of the amount of my regular hair mid-ear and down. She realized I was upset and asked if she could fix it and in shock I just said "how? the hair is gone". She told me not to pay for the haircut and I walked out.Usually I would cut it shorter and just move on but I am getting married in 6 months and cannot afford to cut my hair any shorter than it already is...Update: The owner reached out to me and asked me about my experience. I responded with the above + more details. NO RESPONSE. Not even an apology. I was upset before, now I’m very mad. My hair is a short frizzy, gross mess and my wedding is just a few months away. Even just an apology would do...Update #2: I just had a hair trail for me wedding and it was bad. The stylist told me that bc my hair is so thin and shaggy at the bottom (thanks to my haircut from ten Pachi) I need to go get extensions. When the stylist did my hair (a 20’s inspired bob), you could see through sections of my hair where clumps of my hair are clearly missing. My hair is fine but I have a lot of it. It’s not normal to see through sections of my hair!!!Also Ten Pachi still hasn’t called me to apologize. Seriously people. Just call and say sorry!Service: Haircut

So I wanted to start off by saying I NEVER write negative reviews. I try to be as understanding as possible with most situations and make sure to take care of everything on my end as much as possible for things to go smoothly for both me and to whom I am going to for a service. However I was very disappointed by Tenpachi today when I left early for my 9 am appointment all the way from Everett in a flash flood that I was supposed to have been scheduled for 3 months in advance, as it's always been that way when when I've come here to get my roots touched up for a straightening perm. I know it's a lengthy process so they must be able to have the right person do it and have it be open with their schedule. That's fine. What wasn't okay was that when I came in and said good morning and greeted the ladies working, one of them who I've never seen before turned to me and said "Hello... and who are you?" in a very rude and put off tone. Listen, I understand if I had come in and been rude from the get go or demanded something but I simply came in and said hello, expecting to check in for my appointment. Turns out, the previous girl who worked here who did the scheduling had never scheduled me (I've had issues with scheduling with her before, where she never even put my name or number into their system for scheduling or appointment reminders/confirmations), and the girl who did my perm last time had quit recently. Which is okay! It's not her fault and I don't blame her. Whoever was the previous scheduler is definitely the one in the wrong but I'm just confused and shocked how after my previous appointment I came up to the front to schedule my appointment, put everything into my calendar after we both agreed on a time and date that would work, and then was sent off without telling me I should be expecting an email or text. I'm just incredibly disappointed I had to wait months and take time off to be able to do this appointment. Luckily Stella, who had greeted me in a miffed off attitude at first, apologized profusely and wrote down my info down and said she'd take a look at everyone's schedules to see where she could schedule me. I just can't wait another 3+ months for another appointment as my roots have grown out like crazy already. I'll have to go somewhere else for now but I hope they'll improve on their scheduling issues if I come back here.

I have been going there for haircuts with Mizuki and Yuki. Both are great. Doesn't take much for them to get what I want. Just wished I didn't have to make appointments 3+ months in advance.

**This is a copy and paste from my google review, which they somehow managed to get taken down. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR CUT AT THIS SALON! Bad hair straightening. I had lots of curves left despite following all the directions to a t. I’ve had it done before and it came out perfect.

They have pretty reasonable prices for the service that they offer especially with Kei. He has a lot of experience with Asian hair in Tokyo but he's not even charging senior stylist pricing. The chairs are super super uncomfortable, my legs dangled the whole time and my butt hurt so much. The fact that I got digital perm didn't help because i had to stay there for like 2.5 hours. My back, legs, neck, and butt hurt so much the next few days. No parking, so go there early if u go with a car.

If you Google 2b/2c hair you'll understand how curly my hair is. Must be the part Polynesian in me (cue Disney's Moana). When I was little, my sister styled me as Shirley Temple for Halloween one year. People tell me they wish they had my hair. But the grass is always greener on the other side...Pre Covid, Stella made me into a swish-swish hair model with the straight shiny hair of my dreams. But nearly three years post Covid, I'm back to long curly ringlets again...If I decide to go back to straight hair again, Stella will be the first one I visit. She always does an amazing job and it so nice to chat with during the 4 hours it takes for her straight perm magic. Very clean and comfortable salon plus Tenpachi is right off the Ave near UW so makes it pretty convenient.

Kei saved my haircut for a wedding. My hair was growing into an absolute, hairy mess and I hadn't been entirely satisfied with haircuts I'd been getting before. With no real hair styles in mind, Kei knew exactly how to make my hair stylish and suit my face. I would highly recommend him and would visit again. There's actually a lot of street parking in front of the store. Prices were very reasonable.

Worst perm I’ve gotten so far. Looks nothing like the pictures I showed them, and the curls on the left side looks different from the curls on the right side. Extremely disappointed.

Definitely need to schedule in advance as the hairstylist do get booked pretty far out. They are very fast at responding and their booking website is pretty easy to use. There is plenty of street parking by the salon. Personally, the haircut pricing is a bit expensive but overall, great service. I appreciate the hairstylist being creative with the cut. Often times, I don't really know what fits my face shape best and want the hairstylist to take the initiative. I haven't had great experience in the past so I often wait for a very long time before I get a new haircut. I'm happy with my haircut by Mizuki as she provides me with what I want and provides a haircut that showcase her skills.
