A great shop to walk around when you're looking for a quick gift or have some fun money to burn. They have these Italian candies that I only have found at a restaurant in British Columbia, and I was happy to know I can just pick up a bag there instead of having to drive all the way to that place in Stanley Park.

Five stars for the shoes! Okay, they have a ridiculously wide variety of items from teas and glasses to baby shirts to sofas and art but I'm most excited to check out their shoes when I shop here. They don't have a lot in every size, but they do have a little something special in most sizes. Oooh, wallpaper. They have some cool wallpaper too. It's definitely worth stopping in because you'll find things you need and things you didn't know you needed.

I want to love this place I really really do but it’s not what it says it is and charges truly premium prices. You won’t find local you won’t find produces from small business. You will find beautiful things though.

I love this place!! So much fun to browse amidst old and new, classic and eclectic. The only suggestion I would make is ... let people browse if they want to, without hovering. Every time i stopped to look at something, the saleswoman came over with an extended story. I felt stalked, like I couldn't just LOOK without her noticing and launching into the sales pitch.

Attempts to scam small business owners for free product for their store. Very poor form.

Finally found my very own fuzzy leopard print coat about a week ago! Highly recommend this shop. I ended up getting the Small jacket that was on the Mannequin in the window ? The lady was extremely knowledgeable of all the items I looked at and was very eager to help make my shopping experience a breeze. The popcorn is great too, I've been searching for blue and red kernels since my other store stopped carrying them.

Interesting & cute shop, fun to browse! They have a ton of stuff in here, everything from vintage clothing/shoes to preserves and spices, tchotchkes, jewelry, even evening wear that they get at great prices from merchandiser overruns! Did some good Christmas shopping and have been back a couple of times since. Always something new to check out. Associates were friendly and helpful, but pretty much left me alone, which is what I like. PS: I overheard one of the associates telling someone that they had formerly been Cathy's Closet in Ballard, which had burned down, along with a fave PR restaurant of mine--so sad about both. What was even sadder was that although Cathy's had insurance--and weren't responsible for the fire--their premiums were going to be raised epic amounts if they kept selling consignment/used. So they created Beehive Mercantile instead. Another good reason to support them!

I have driven by the Beehive many times and have been too busy/lazy/uninspired to stop. I recently stopped because I needed a birthday gift for my buddy. Oh my goodness, what a crazy, bright, interesting, and well-staffed store. They have so many disparate types of goods, from flooring to shoes, clothes to gifts and housewares. And more, so much more. I appreciate the range in price from nearly every budget and that some of the items are one-offs so it's not as if everyone will have it. Customer service was prompt and friendly but they also let me look at my leisure without asking me constantly if I needed help. It's a fine line between helpful and pushy and they know just how to handle it. I look forward to my next trip to buy something for me!

The cheery window caught my eye. I’m so glad I ventured in! This east Ballard store has beautifully-curated merchandise, sure to have something for everyone: vintage-style clothing and housewares; fun socks made out of bamboo; unusual gourmet food items; sassy cards and coasters; and lots of great giftable items! You can even get made-to-order furniture from there! I loved it! I want everyone I know to go check this place out so that it will be around for a long time to come! (In case you were wondering—no one paid me for this review. I’m just so enthusiastic about this very cool (and large!) store!)
