I saw a photo from a couple months ago stating this business was closed and wanted to update-- I just walked in earlier today and they're open! Such a fun place and the store keeper was really kind :)

Gem of a shop nestled in north end of Pike Place Market. Reasonable prices for Middle Eastern and Indian specialty items. Warmand friendly owner and the baclava … yum.

Stepping into The Souk in Seattle, you're greeted with the delightful aroma of fresh baklava and the warmth of the charming shop owner. Their baklava is the star of the show - a heavenly blend of buttery phyllo, rich nuts, and a perfect touch of sweetness. It's not just a treat; it's an experience, enhanced by the owner's captivating stories and genuine hospitality. A must-visit for anyone in Seattle craving authentic baklava and a touch of heartwarming conversation.

I was sad to find the space empty but for, visible through the window, the fixtures. No sign or explanation, but looks like it's closed for good.

This place has a lot of kitchen and other household stuff you need from India and the Middle East, and it’s perfect for last-minute shopping. You can count on their opening hours, unless Pike Place is having a special event. The cashier is super friendly and will help you find exactly what you need or something close enough.

Variety of spices and herbs. Cute little shop with a little bit of everything. I was really happy I didn't have to drive 25 minutes east just to get a few Indian spices and curry leaves

We came here for dinner staples while staying at the marina. They had an awesome assortment of spices and other ingredients. Then we found their baklava and I think it is the best I have ever had. The kind lady who runs the shop makes them fresh each morning and she was adorable and welcoming. We will be coming back to the market for this shop specifically.

There are a lot of south, Asian/Indian groceries scattered around the greater Seattle area, but the closest is the seok at Pike Place market. It is slightly larger than a hole in the wall, but clearly an intimate and inviting place to learn about, and buy numerous kinds of spices, I had a long chat with the proprietor, who is a charming woman and she guided me on spices that I needed for a particular dish that I wanted to make. I have no idea how her prices compared to other south Asian spice stores, but the easy location without having to go down to Renton or over to Redmond to find an Indian grocery, coupled with the informative and charming store owner makes it my go to place!

Some of the very few stores in downtown Seattle that have Indian groceries. They don't have a lot of variety but you'll mostly find the basic necessities. You can call them to confirm if you they have what you need. The person who answered my call and later helped me with the in-person order was very helpful.

This place is amazing. You can find hard to find Eastern and Middle Eastern food and home supplies in this biz. I went in today for "chickpea powder" (recipe called for it). Within 30 seconds, I was walked directly to the product by the friendly clerk. I wanted some fresh mint (which is so much more expensive at the grocery store) and was offered free mint with my purchase as their mint was a few days old and starting to turn colors. FREE FRESH MINT!!! Unbelievable. I've bought other goods here in the past: homemade chutney, pretty window hangings (brass) and some bells for my door (my cheap "alarm system"). I've liked everything that I've bought so far and the staff has always been helpful and nice. I'll definitely be going back for more supplies. They have some of the greatest prices in town for legumes, spices (hard to find in regular stores), canned goods, fresh pastries, gift items, and you get to SHOP SMALL in the market and support a local biz. Which is good for you, good for the family that owns the business and good for the economy. I'll always return to this place and thanks so much to the nice clerk / manager / owner who offered me such a great deal on mint! I really appreciate that, it made my day!

You know when you go to an international food store and you search around for hours looking for what you need. That was not my experience here! The shop was small and I was looking for several Indian spices . The lady who worked there helped me find everything.. and they had everything I needed. Amazing!
