I enjoy going to Third Place Books. Heck, you can even get a burger and beer without leaving the building. I just discovered that many of their used books are interspersed amongst the books on their shelves (look for the yellow stickers), so it's a bit like an Easter egg-hunt ? I got lucky and found a copy of Game of Thones for $4, and Dune for $5. The bookstore isn't huge, but the selection is solid. The location, somewhat near Seward Park is quite nice with a nice coffee shop, pizza, pasta and other things nearby. It's a win-win. You'll probably have to park somewhere close-by as the parking lot seems perpetually full, though.

quite rude baristas. they are over the top on their dog policy i had my dog in a backpack. i ordered & paid but when i went to pick up the drink they aggressively told me we don't allow dogs & stopped making my drink then stared. i said okay as i thought they meant i couldn't sit in the cafe. i honestly didn't understand, really bad energy. pretty simple don't have to me mean about it. now the the line at vita across the street makes more sense.

I'd love to give it a 5 out 5 as I would the other locations but all the tv screens for the menus and just tv is the opposite of what I enjoy about a book store cafe. Really unappealing and disappointing as I love everything else

Oh Third Place Books- Seward Park location is lovely. I always seem to blow my book budget just in the staff recommendations area. This trip I came across the Project 562, about the federally recognized Tribes. I have it on hold at the library, but in person it is stunning. After debating with myself, I couldn't resist. In buying it, I support a local bookseller but also a local author and get to take this incredible book home instead of having to rush through the library copy. My picture won't do it justice. Seek out this book, support local.

I'm a huge fan of this independently owned book shop chain - their thoughtfulness regarding their locations stands out to me - this location is particularly special as this neighborhood appreciates and needed them. They buy and sell used books - and have considered recommendation displays that I enjoy perusing.Parking is easy and there is a tap room / burger place in the same building.

Third Place is one of my favorite places to be. I go multiple times a week to get a coffee and read in the cafe. Browsing the bookstore itself is a treat, and I love all of the employee reviews and recommendations along the shelves. I feel so at home here thanks to all of the friendly staff. TPB & Chuck’s are a must for any book lover!

A bookstore? A burger place? A beer garden? All in one? Amazing, incredible, sensual, and amazing. I absolutely adore this place from their tots, to their burgers, to their drinks, to their books! I just could stay in here forever, and there are so many dogs around too in the outside area.

Great place any time of day. Fantastic coffee, Italian sodas and other NA drinks, expansive and varied tap list. Great house-made burgers and more. Cute dogs. Friendly staff. Awesome book store next door. What's not to love?

My review is on the food: The fries were thin and had a cardboard texture. Couldn’t finish them. The burger was small and not worth $15, but had good flavor, thankfully. I’m still hungry. The space is nice.

Very diverse and interesting book selection, from dense literature and lifestyle books to graphic novels and translated manga. Also has quite a cute cafe. However, the prices are very high, and it is very loud indoors when busy, even with earplugs. I was very quickly overstimulated and had to leave. May come back sometime, maybe not.
