I reserved a truck from this Seattle location, I went to pick it up and it was not available. The lady at the U-Haul counter told me to call the 1-800 number in the most abrupt, non sympathetic tone. After a long wait I discovered that my reservation was moved to Tacoma 40 miles away. No email, text or voicemail was provided to warn me of this beforehand. They finally found me a truck in Lynwood 20 miles away. I had reserved movers for that day from TaskRabbit costing me $200/hr and getting the truck in time for the movers was a matter of luck since it turned out that the only reason they had a truck, was because the person who reserved it never picked it up. In summary, this added stress to an already stressful day, and I had to pay extra for the miles back and forth to Lynwood. No one offered to compensate me for my extra hardship or expense.

Rented the cargo van. Went with an expectation of seeing an old van with graffiti, based on the reviews. But they have a new one now, with about 500miles on it. So no complaints in that front. The lady inside the office was friendly, English is not her native language, so be patient with her :) Felt like they could use an extra hand but nothing like out of control, you just gotta reach a little early and be patient.

My mistake for not reading reviews first - they will gauge you on moving boxes (and presumably any other equipment). This is 3x what you’ll pay at an actual U-haul location. Do not shop here.

Bait and switch. When they rent you a 9ft trailer plan on only getting an eight and a half foot trailer... Not a problem unless you need 8 ft 10 in

Don't use this store. My u-haul reservation to pick up here was transferred to another store without them telling me. When I asked where I should go to pick it up the clerk told me that I wasn't her customer anymore, and walked away. Wouldn't even check where it had been transferred too. It was a big enough middle finger that I decided to write a review.

Every time I go to Uhaul they change my reservation last minute and make me travel out of the city just to get a reservation, the service is good but it doesn't matter if they can NEVER stick to their word, worst rental company I have EVER worked with. It's unfair they have a monopoly on the market and choose to not be better.

Don’t trust them. Antiquated systems, guarantees they’ll never follow, and an vehicle return system that absolutely sucks. Go for budget, Penske, or Home Depot for a better rate. Don’t work with these stores. Their marketing president Eddy Arenibas and Brett Grover will lie about your interaction to save their jobs. Don’t take the liability. Find other methods to move.

Two emplyees that dont make one. Gave me the wrong contract to fill up the tank. Spent 60 dolars on a 16 miles trip, and they were not willing to refund or accept their mistake. I asked for half a refund, the lady said her manager would send me a premium card for my next rent on $20 value and they never did. Aweful experience. I dont know how U Haul lets incompetent people ruin their reputation.
