Spent all morning calling all over trying to find a U-Haul place who would take a one-way rental back where it wasn’t scheduled to be taken back. The man on the phone agreed and said they’d be happy to take it back. But when I got to the location, a manager who was so soft-spoken that I couldn’t understand what he was saying when he was turned away from me, would look at me when I was taking, was very rude, refused to help me drop off the U-Haul and told me he was going to charge me $500 to make an exception and didn’t give me any viable options. I will never use U-Haul again, especially not this location.

Ballard staff was quick, friendly, professional, and great to work with. T helped install a mount needed for my traveling/moving needs. Extremely personable and ready to help staff. Highly recommend 10/10, thank you!

Haydn was outstandingly friendly, kind, and helpful!The rental experience was simple (although the website for after-hours return hassled me a bit - but that could have been worse).The van I had exceeded expectations. It was clean and modern.I have to say that I'm amazed to be writing such a favorable review - my stereotypical perception of U-Haul was... not great. What a pleasant surprise.I look forward to the next time I need to move something bigger than my car can handle!

The worst experience imaginable. My wife and I made a 24/7 reservation for 6 AM, and upon arrival the app told us to please wait for the store to open at 9 AM to proceed. There was a guy on-site cleaning trucks and said they couldn’t do anything since the area is too dangerous to leave keys out. WHY DID THEY LET US BOOK THE RESERVATION AND FORCE US TO WAIT 3 HOURS? We’ve had this reservation for 2 weeks, and are now forced to delay our move and rebook all of our elevator hold reservations. Do not go here if you value your sanity.

The person who helped us was the best ever. I wish we would have gotten his name. He was so knowledgable, patient, kind, and helpful. This was a fantastic experience and I can't rave enough about the UHaul person who checked us in and out - he was amazing. The van we rented was new and so clean. We are so appreciative for the UHaul associate's assistance with our reservation and transaction.

Haydn got us set up with our trailer super quick and made sure we felt attended to even while managing the rest of the store and taking calls on his own. We are very appreciative of his speedy, quality work.

The hitch installer returned the car without the underbody panels installed. This was out of laziness. Apparently car owners do not look under the car after they receive it, and never notice the parts missing. The hitch installer was leaving all the underbody panels off on the cars.No underbody protection lets in road spray which oxidizes the chassis of the car.I went back the following week and they installed the underbody panels.

I called at 6 to ask if they sell propane. They said yes, all day. When do you close? They said 7. I said great, I'll be right there for propane.I drive over, pull in at 6:15, and ask for propane. They tell me that they stop selling propane at 5.

The first truck I was rented wouldn't start.The second one ran rough had a blinking check engine light.I had to step over a giant pile of human feces to enter the vehicle.I usually like this location, but customers shouldn't need to deal with this stuff.

Booked a truck for a specific date in advance, turned up and they said they didn’t have our truck but we could have one from shoreline, didn’t call or anything to let us know beforehand. Awful experience.

The first van offered to me was quite dirty. It was difficult to tell if the exterior was just smudged or if there had been damage to the paint or body. Also, the emergency brake handle was broken, hanging ineffectually under the steering console. Lastly, it was supposed to have 1/2 tank of gas, but it was on dead empty. I let the attendant know, and they promptly switched me to a newer, much better maintained van, with the attested amount of fuel onboard. The rest of the rental continued without incident. Checking back in took a total of . . . 5 seconds. Very efficient!
