Man, my experience today sucked. I was followed around by a security guard practically the whole time (still questioning why - I was carrying a small bag from the optometrist with my new glasses, and had a small crossbody bag on my back, but that was it) and came in primarily to shop for perfume but everything was locked up, no testers. Many store staff walked by but did not ask if I needed help despite clearly being in an area with the entire area under lock. Left without what I needed - really sucked!

Store was nice but at the register …the cashier offered a discount with some Ulta credit card offer. I said yes. Then she said the credit pull failed. Next day I receive an email that my credit file was in fact hard-pulled from one of the bureaus and my credit score was reduced because of it. That impact will last two years on my file. And all for nothing. I will not fall for these credit card offers again.

I had a terrible experience today because the security guard followed me around the entire trip. I understand his job is to make sure people aren’t stealing but he could atleast be discreet. Every section I was in he was in to the point I walked up to him and asked if he wanted to check my bags or something so that he can stop following me. He is so smug and inept that he says “If you feel that way that’s your assumption..” I wasn’t assuming, I was witnessing him following me! And I do not appreciate that. I come in here all the time and usually the staff is respectful. When I complained at the front desk your manager in the white crop top didn’t even have the decency to apologize to me empathetically because he was complicit in this. He said “sorry about that” and then ran out the store? Like he couldn’t be bothered. This whole ordeal made me uncomfortable and upset because I feel like these two men (if I misgendered yall, my apologies) the security guard with locs and the manager in a white crop top made this an unsafe environment for me. I will not assign this situation to my race but the implications are there. I’m asking that you all understand how grossly wrong it is for you to blatantly profile someone based on race or clothing, and that you train your management to be more deliberate when handling a customer’s complaint: If you’re going to give an apology be sincere.
I edited this review on 7/28 : I called the store because I wanted to know the manager’s name and Tuyet answered. She was the only one who showed any compassion for me. Noticed that the lip gloss I brought was buy 1 get 50% off and told me she would honor it if I wanted to come back and get another one. I was so humiliated by the other staff, I left quickly and didn’t get everything I wanted. Tuyet has strong integrity and humility and I am so grateful to be seen as human by her even when others did not extend me that grace. Blessings to you Tuyet!!

Khim my hair stylist at Ulta Westwood Village in West Seattle is phenomenal! I’ve been going to her for about a year now and she is so great! From the color to the cut to the style, her work is so spot on and she’s so efficient and friendly! I highly recommend her!!

excuse me , what kind of people are we hiring in our beauty industries I was asking some man in the men section to help me find something and he kept on making snarking comments about my features that was really mean and rude and knowing that am very young and how that could affect knowing he was a grown man

The worst customer service. Went in for body makeup, specifically dermablend. The woman helping me told me they don't sell any body makeup and to put FACE foundation on my body instead or go to Sephora (with a rude ass attitude). 2 seconds later I find the Dermablend by myself and when I showed her she just shrugged it off. Every single time I go in, I am better off googling or figuring it out on my own. Not to mention they didn't even have makeup wedges so she tried to color match me with a damn cotton ball....(with face foundation mind you)

If the store liaison department is reading this, please take this seriously. Terrible customer service! Stay away from Brandon the store manager. I’m not sure if he hates his job or if he’s just terrible at it but I traveled 50 min one way for a hair treatment appointment only to find out that the stylist doesn’t work there anymore. They should take her schedule out of the website! I didn’t get any voicemail about this and I clearly showed Brandon my voicemail history. He threw an attitude saying “well what am I supposed to do about this?” You work in sales, learn to treat your customers better. Please get your training right!
Towards the end, as I was talking to another rep at the cashier, he comes back saying “I can’t help you anymore, please leave!” Is this what Ulta’s service has come down to? Stop giving kids like him the job of a professional. Clearly he’s waiting for the clock to tick so he can head home. Get better trained staff! I come here for the service and after this will not be back. You’ve lost a loyal customer and you’ll lose many more if you don’t fix your attitude.

Ultra Beauty Store is beautiful, immaculate, & well lit. Quality makeup items, perfumes, colognes, and other accessories. The employees, some are makeup artists, assist customers to find the best matched makeup. I love it!

My hairdresser, Khim, at Ulta in Westwood Mall, Seattle, was excellent. She understood right away what outcome I wanted for my hair. She was efficient, professional, and sincerely friendly. I was at ease due to her expertise. I am totally impressed with Khim and definitely recommend her to other Ulta salon patrons.

Finding a stylist in Seattle that listens to your needs and makes you feel like the best version of yourself is a dutiful task… I am so grateful for Khim in my hair transformation journey I can not be more grateful for the care and time she puts into my hair every time I’m in her chair. From total blonde to the darkest of violet, from scalp to tip, she is a master of her craft. Thank you as always Khim!!!!

My Redken jumbos were Not on Sale. Acidic bonding complex. Bought them anyway. That I think is not fair. All of them I sale except these? I still live Ulta.
