I worked with Mark Evans to set up a new money market account. Mark was fantastic. He was very responsive and clearly communicated the pro's and con's of each account. After I made my selection, he executed next steps within the hour. I highly recommend him.

Update on Fraud that occurred internally at the Umpqua Auburn Wa. branch. Total mismanagement of security. I do not usually write reviews like this. However this experience is absolutely insane. We put our money in banks to be secure, we trust that they have policies and procedures in place to protect our money. I fully understand that cyber/online fraud is happening at an alarming rate. I do know that people make mistakes at times and am usually accepting and more than happy to work with people. A thief walked into this branch with a drivers license not assigned to my account and without the teller checking for STANDARD policy identification verification (drivers license/atm card) was able to withdrawal money from my account. Not only did the teller allow money to be withdrawn but more than what was in the account creating an overdraft fee! I put up my first review and a day and a half later I received a call from the Umpqua community outreach manager Manny Maldanado. He was kind enough yet imho under the circumstances at times sounded a bit curt. He explained the the individual made a second attempt the next day to withdrawl more money from my account but the teller called authorities. Yay yet our laws do not police to chase or engage so the culprit got away. I spent near 6 hours of my time on the phone, driving to my local branch twice and had no way to pay anyone, accept wire transfers, get cash out etc. Total inconvenience and waste of my time losing hours that should have been spent running my business. I asked that Umpqua take this into consideration and said "You know some kind of compensation for my wasted time, stress and loss of ability to transact would be nice, maybe a gift certificate etc" Thats what I would have done as a business owner, when you make mistakes you do the right thing. He checked with upper management, called me back and said "nothing we can do" Wow not how you do business, treat your customer. You are an institution that is supposed to protect people's money and trust in you. I guess they are going to provide further training for their employee and that is supposed to be good enough. Completely disgusted with their response, policies and lack of training that would allow a teller to manage people's money this way. GO TO A REAL BANK THAT CARES AND DOES THE RIGHT THING BY THEIR CUSTOMERS! Maybe a story for JESSE JONES KING 5 NEWS

Mark Evans is beyond awesome! I truly cannot believe his level of customer service- perfect mix of knowledge kindness and thoroughness. I never thought I could look forward to meeting with my banker! He even followed up with me to close the loop on my refinance - so above and beyond. I’m telling all of my friends! Thank you!!

Never thought I'd feel compelled to write a review for a BANK, but that's because I hadn't yet interacted with the Umpqua team in SLU. Coming from a lifetime at BofA, they are a breath of fresh air. Personalized and instant customer service, no junk fees, equally attractive products, plus they call me by name when I come into the branch. What more could you ask for from a bank? In a world of large business taking everything over, I really value my relationship with these folks. Thank you to Romiri and everyone at the Umpqua SLU team! You are so appreciated!

Mark Evans, Manager at South Lake Union Branch displays outstanding knowledge of his banks products, expertise and has great communication skills. They have an awesome staff and are so friendly, too. What sets them apart is that they are very active in the community with fund raisers and such. I highly recommend using them for your banking needs. A pleasure to work with!

I have to share what an amazing experience I've had so far with Umpqua, and with Mark Evans in particular. From soup to nuts it's been an exemplary experience and as soon as I can get my ducks in a row, I plan on moving all my banking to Umpqua. Can't say enough about how the operate. Customer first!

Been using Umpqua for about 2 years now for my publishing company's business account. I absolutely love how I have a SPECIFIC PERSON who is my banker. I never have to call some generic customer service line and never have to wait through an automated phone tree. I just email my banker directly and always get the answers and help I need.Would definitely recommend Umpqua to a friend, and this location specifically is a very cool space. They've always got stuff going on and they're great at highlighting local businesses.

I love this bank! All of the bankers at this location are amazing. Umpqua is a refreshing change from larger national banks because you get personal service from people who you can actually speak with face-to-face.

I've been banking with Umpqua for the last 12-months, previously at US Bank, following Mark and his team after realizing how important relationships are with your bankers. The SLU Umpqua team has always embodied an energetic spirit and professionalism whenever coming into the branch. They host regular events and always make you feel like you are family. This is community banking at it's finest.

Who knew going to the bank could be so much fun?! The staff at Umpqua Bank, led by Mark Evans, are incredible. They each care so much about their customers - you really feel like you’re with friends when you walk in.
