Avoid usps whenever possible. Used it to send an important check and it's lost. No update even after I called them. what a terrible business

I paid for expedited service — guaranteed delivery in 1–3 days — and tracking went dead within 24 hours. Filed for a missing mail article.
Went in to request a refund, the clerk, Semhar, immediately hid behind a “30 days after delivery” excuse. I asked for proof of this policy. Instead of showing me anything in writing, she brushed me off to “check the website.” The manager, Mel, chimed in with the same line without lifting a finger to verify it. It was pure deflection — no ownership, no problem-solving, just a rush to get me out the door.
Went home, filed the refund request online, and it was approved instantly. No 30-day wait. Which means the staff here either lied to me outright or are so poorly trained they don’t know their own procedures. Both are unacceptable.
Poor review for poor customer service: indifference, misinformation, and refusal to actually help. Recommend going to a different Post Office.

I chose express priority delivery to Germany. The employee assured me that it would take 2-3 days, and pointed out a $100 guarantee. I'm glad. 5 days have passed, the mail hasn't even left America and the support says: we don't control the delivery, we only process it.
I do not recommend using this sloppy delivery service, or counting on fast and safe delivery. My future depends on these documents, and the post office is simply neglecting them.

Basically useless post office. They will always send you to the Ballard Annex, which is equally as useless and over a mile away and only open LESS than normal business hours so it's practically impossible to get to.

A lady helped me with mailing some documents and making a money order. She literally knows EVERYTHING!! Even the address. She is very efficient and helps me to make it before door closing. One thing tho, please provide some cooling equipments since it’s quite hot there and they work really hard there.

I don't like to leave bad reviews but this group of mail people need to get their stuff together. They give federal workers bad names.
I ordered something, wait an entire week for it to travel from East Coast to Seattle but these mail people claim that I have moved and sent the item ordered, back to the sender to the East Coast, the same darn day. Did not even attempt to deliver the item but claims they tried. I have door cam folks.
How in the actual fudge have they come to this conclusion that I have moved is beyond comprehension. I have never even met the mail man in my life that I have lived in the same address for an year now. Why do y'all do this?

I've been going to this post office for years and every employee here has always been exceptionally kind and helpful. Shout-out to Mel, who is the best! Parking is limited but the spots free up quickly. This is my favorite post office in the city.

Blonde lady is constantly having issues processing packages and has the worst attitude & facial expressions. Her attitude adds so much unnecessary stress to the environment. I’ve come in ~10 times and it’s the same every time. She always seems super stressed & needs constant help from other workers to complete tasks.
The guy is always the best, most helpful, to the point worker. I wish everyone was like him!

Usually don't write reviews -- but I needed to for Mel! I did not receive much help from the other woman working at the postal office & was quickly dismissed when trying to find a box that would fit what I needed shipped out. Mel practically created a box for me with tape, a box cutter, & any available supplies she had on her. It was the best customer service experience I had -- if Mel was not there, I would have had a very different experience. THANK YOU MEL!

Really bad experience with the Korean lady, I didn’t ask for her name. It’s for anyone who finds this helpful- she tried to trick me into buying tape and address labels for my package when I only needed to give her the address for her to put in the system for shipping. She had all the excuses when she was called out and had a facial expression that says “I’m really telling the truth”.
One of the items I was shipping was tiny in a relatively large bag, she didn’t seal the bag properly on purpose, only used the sticky label to seal the bag while looking inside the bag saying how tiny the item was.
She’s in a disadvantage group and gets supports from the society, I really hope there will be more good people spreading love rather than doing mean things in the world we live in.
The other lady that works there is genuinely a good person, when you go to the usps store more, you will find out who is the bigger person and is truly there to help others. These people do NOT get appreciated nearly enough. Thanks for being kind and helpful :)
