Totally agree with all other negative feedback here. Staff were not paying attention, not friendly, and clearly doesn't care about your request. I've dropped off and mailed a couple items at other USPS stores and this one has the worst experience. I would rather spend an hour trying to find a parking spot around the USPS near my home than visiting here again.

I really, truly understand that USPS does a lot of good work and without much credit or respect; throw in having to juggle customer service on top of that means mail delivery is a thankless job. But I’m another person who’s had a really bad run in with the Keith Raniere looking employee. I’d rather clean 50 public toilets with my tongue than interact with him again.

Whoever took “the man who looks like “Keith Rainere ate Keith Rainere”” out of the back room and into a position of customer service screwed up big time. Twice now I’ve had the most disrespectful encounters with this man while trying to ask simple questions at the counter. Either rent must be killing this dude, or else he just loves to chew people out for no reason, because I can’t imagine him wanting to work at a place where he encounters people on a regular basis.

The old guy is very rude, especially to foreigners like Asian.

Went to drop off a box that I had reused from a previous shipment. The employee told me “they don’t like those on there” and pointed at the old labels. I said I blacked them out, but apparently it was good enough. “Well if you had looked at the poster-“ let me just say I don’t go the post office to look at your posters. I come in to drop off packages, and I’ve not had an issue with these labels before. So I apologize, but I’m learning so please be kind to me.She left to get a knife to peel the labels off, and while I was standing there I started to just peel them off myself, I figured it would save time. But that upset her, I’m not sure why, and told me I was being “smart” when I explained I was just peeling the labels while she was gone. And then refused to help me and pushed me off to her coworker down the counter. And then gets her MANAGER out to put another stupid poster up explaining the blacked out label policy, which by the way is only dated July 2023! I don’t go to the post office often, so I’m SORRY I didn’t know about a 5 month old policy, and I’m sorry I don’t come by to check out your posters for fun. I was just trying to ship a box, I wasn’t mean or impatient, and this employee made it a bad experience and then blamed me for it.

From my package being marked as delivered when it wasn't as well as a history of packages being left outside in bushes outside my apartment complex I'm not sure if its only a handful of people delivering but they do not care about your packages. Said I would get a phone call back from one representative and never did.

It's centrally located in the U District so it's very convenient & they have a self checkout kiosk at the entrance (no QR code ?) They can be really busy but the wait isn't too bad.. ooh(!) They are really strict about the tape you use don't use priority tape if it's not a priority package & they don't have tape to use (unless you're priority..)

Can't even ask a question here gahdamnTaken from another review to describe one of the employees, the man who looks like “Keith Rainere ate Keith Rainere” is a peculiar character. It seems like he absolutely hates working here but I think he just loves to berate guests. Two stars because I still respect postal workers and everything they do for this country. Please pay these workers more.

This USPS location is great! All of the employees are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. The location seems to be understaffed, but it doesn't detract from the customer service. All the employees are doing their best to keep the U District USPS office running smoothly. I use this location often and have good experiences shipping mail and packages.

One of the worst post offices. It looks nice on the outside but they make you go down into the dungeon basement that's filled with trash, walk on broken tiles, into a dimly lit room and wait in line up to an hour to get a drop off receipt. Pathetic.

I have always had a great experience at this location! Everyone has always been helpful, never rude. These privileged college"kids" that are posting bad reviews have probably never worked customer service/public service and never will. Why don't they educate themselves in things that matter, such as compassion, selflessness and what you need to do to be prepared to send a package.

Came in 5 minutes before closing with a simple package pickup request and the person working the counter told me that they were closed for the day and would not help me.Another employee came out to try and help me when the first employee came out and stopped her. If you want to be lazy and go home 5 minutes early, whatever, but don't prevent other people from doing their jobs.

Hoping this location gets more staffing soon — they are often overwhelmed, but trying their best. I haven’t had any issues with things I’ve needed to ship.

Clerk didn't really seem to listen to me and would talk over me, still haven't received any help for my inquiry

Didn't even have staff to open the location until after an hour past scheduled opening. I use this location because I need to buy the customer service is generally pretty terrible.
