My family of critters love VCA and all the great staff! Dr Wick and Dr Apicella are fantastic and treat my gremlin of a dog, Duke, with so much care, even when he consistently makes a mess on their floor. Our kitty, Rex, is not a fan of being away from home but they are always so gentle and sweet with him, and the receptionists always fawn over how big and lanky he is. Their prices might be higher than other vets in the area but it's definitely worth it considering the level of care and comfort our pets receive when we come in for a visit. Can't go wrong with VCA!

This review is long overdue. After moving to West Seattle in June 2023 with my senior boy, we moved to VCA West Seattle. Since VCA already had his records the transition was easy. After meeting the staff, I was in love. Dr. Wick was THE BEST. She was caring and compassionate and I could see that she genuinely cared about her patients. But really, it was everyone at this office that made me love this place. My only regret is that my sweet boy passed away in August so we had such a short time with this team. I would definitely bring back my animals here when I choose to have pets again.

We brought our dog here for a few years. They don't allow you to be in the room during annual exams/shots and that leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The prices at VCA are astronomical. We recently switched vets and have had wayyyyy better experiences than we ever had at VCA.

Wow. What a staff. Friendly is not strong enough. We feel like family. From Taylor at the Front Desk greeting and soiling Alkey to Shaina the Vet Tech so kind and thorough. Doc Wick was so sweet she warm I just know my girl is well cared for. Thanks guys. You’re awesome!

They are so kind and sweet to my incredibly anxious Great Dane. They were able to calm her down to finish and exam and give her vaccines! They were also prompt and responsive. I really appreciate them trying as hard as they do. :)

We love coming here- staff are lovely and we always feel like our pets are very well taken care of. However, for anything other than planned routine care we usually have to go somewhere else because wait times can be up to a month. Would love it if VCA could improve on this!

Really torn about VCA. Was referred here by someone who loves the VCA in Burien. The staff is really lovely. Very kind and genuine about the care toward animals. But it felt like they didn’t really know how to handle or control my anxious puppy for vaccines.. I had to help hold him. First try only got half the injection. And they let him eat an excessive amount of treats right out of the container to distract him. While that’s nice of them to give treats, it was a bit much. Felt like they had never dealt with vaccines on an anxious puppy.Recently I’ve been so frustrated to find out that VCA’s aren’t connected… so I can’t just go to any and they have my pups file on hand. I have to pay a new exam fee for every different vca. This doesn’t make sense to me… considering in order to get in you have to make an appointment like 3+ weeks out. This isn’t helpful for any issues that need to be taken care of at least “soon.”The process for cancellations and drop offs is average I suppose. But it doesn’t work very well for someone who has a normal 9-5 kind of job.Overall, the staff and people is what gives it any positives. All else is kind of mute.

We made an appointment for our dog six weeks ago for breathing problems. The day of the appointment the called and needed her old records to be seen. Why did they wait until the last day. We have been waiting for SIX weeks to get her some help. DO NOT expect help here!

Great Veterinary Hospital. Veterinary doctors and staff are knowledgeable and caring. I have been taking my cat here for 9 years. I adopted him from Emerald City Pet Rescue, now Kitty Haven. My cat Chester has had some issues over the years and the doctors and staff have always managed to come up with the proper diagnosis so he can have a long and healthy life. They are amazing people and I appreciate them every day.

My family previously used a VCA when we lived in another state and had a great experience. This particular VCA is a night and day difference from that. The lead time to an appointment is ridiculous, every time I've been there I've had to wait at least 30 minutes in the room to see someone, the prices are far beyond that of any other Vet in the area, but the quality of care is the main reason for the score. One visit we're told our cat is the perfect weight. The next visit we're told she needs to lose weight because she's obese. Exact same weight, and they can't explain the difference. When our dog was limping, we were told for weeks that he just needed rest. Turns out his knee was ruptured and needed surgery. At our last visit, the vet spent no time with our dog before muzzling him, pulling him to the back, then saying he needed to be sedated for all visits. This was interesting to us because it's the complete opposite experience at Urban Animal where he has absolutely no problems with techs or vets. It might have something to do with them at least saying hi to our dog before trying to drag him around the office. All that is to say, I don't like VCA West Seattle, my dog doesn't like VCA West Seattle, my cats don't like VCA West Seattle, so even though it's the closest to where we live, we're done with VCA West Seattle.

Everyone here has been above and beyond helpful and caring when it comes to animal care. They’ve done everything to ensure my very timid puppy feels safe and welcome, every time we are in, to the point where is actually excited to go to the vet—not something you hear very often.Highly recommended.

I had a concern with the vet hospital due to receiving orders I didn't want. They were very helpful and corrected the error within a few days and my account was credited. Since then, their service has been top notch. I have an older dog and they have taken very good care of her special needs. They found a diet that worked after correctly diagnosing an intestinal problem. After initially losing about 10 pounds, she is regaining weight and has more energy.

Be careful of this animal hospital. They are scammers. After successfully treating my dog for IBD, she was out on a special diet. I ordered a large quantity and received as ordered. It was suppose to be a one time order. The following month they processed and delivered another order for me even though I sent two emails and a follow up phone call saying I did not place or want the order. The front desk said I did not order from their website but was linked to a corporate website. So I have another food order totaling almost $360.00 that I did not order. The WEST SEATTLE VET HOSPITAL SAID SO SORRY BUT WE CANNOT DO ANYTHING. Now I am trying to cancel my account with them but have had no luck so far.

I hope I never move because I never want to take my dog anywhere else. They’re the best. So thorough, so gentle, so thoughtful. They talk you through everything step by step. They ALWAYS answer the phone and any “hold” is super short. When they’re closed or booked, they recommend urgent and emergency care centers nearby. When I have questions and concerns regarding my dog, something she did, ate, etc. they walk me through everything on the phone for free. Literally the best vet I’ve ever been to. Ziggy agrees! ?
