Verity has gone above and beyond for me many times, and I am so pleased to discover the West Seattle branch! I thought I might need to look into joining a different credit union, since I just moved into the neighborhood, but happily, I will be staying with Verity :)Thanks to everyone there for a truly unique and much improved banking experience.

Setting up my new accounts was super easy! Everyone at the bank was extremely nice and helped me access my paycheck the same day with a card they made in the back. Way better than bank of america that wants to always put a hold on my paycheck and better than chase who wanted me to pay a fee to cash their check. I'm also pretty happy that my paycheck isn't going to fund oil pipelines.

Thus far, we have not received what perks we were promised regarding our checking accounts. The difficulty we are having is getting the system to understand that we have, twice in fact, registered for the e-statements. This will be our 3rd month awaiting that meager $5 per month reward in our account for completing a one-time login per month; 12 debit card transactions per month; and being enrolled in e-statements. I phoned the branch this time and one of the associates took the time to register me as an e-statement enrollee saying I had not registered, which in fact I had done so several weeks prior. Unsure if this is happening to other people. If this is not resolved within the next 24 hours, we'll just stick with our previous bank. Also, they offer a consultation with a financial advisor. Had a lovely chat with her via telephone. She was going to find out the answer to a specific question of ours and get back with us via email. She never did so. Not cool. In response to Verity's response below: First: If there were issues with your e-statement registration portals, should you not actually contact your bank member who has this issue and submit the $5 reward per month missed due to failure on the part of the bank to provide a promised service? Second: Your solution for me to contact your financial coach shows that you have NOT read my statement above. I did contact her. She was pleasant and agreed to find out something specific for us from the loan department and email us a response. She never got back to us, via phone or email. Why would I reach out again? If you were not just paying me lip service online to "salvage" your online reputation, you would have provided better customer service by sending this up the chain-of-command, reaching your Financial coach, reminding her that we are still awaiting the answer she promised us. As for now, I have received better customer service from other banks historically. We plan to close our account and move to a credit union which really stands behind promises of customer and member services.

Friendly staff, rarely too busy. Since very few people need a mega-bank, credit unions like Verity are the way to go. Since Verity checking accounts offer unlimited reimbursement of any ATM fees, finding a fee-free ATM is not an issue.

I have taken out a couple of car loans with Verity over the years. Super helpful employees, friendly, and always the best rates. Easy to pay off and easy to talk to with questions. I was happy to find this new branch open in West Seattle. I am a fan. They helped answer a question I had and set up a new transfer to my credit union account easily. Also a shockingly modern and right setup for a bank. Nice place -- and who says that about a bank or credit union?! I don't do all or even most of my banking here, but if I need a credit union this is my go to. Highly recommend.
