What is the official Walgreens policy regarding age restricted items? I ask because I'm 35 and my husband is 59. We've been shopping at our Wallingford Walgreens for 7 years. My husband drinks; I do not. However, whenever either of us has made an age restricted purchase, one of us provides an ID. Today, my husband and I went to Walgreens bought alcohol and a soft drink. The cashier checked my husband's id, then asks for mine. In 7 years I've never had us both be required to show ID, and as far as I know, the POS system requires one ID to be scanned. I asked the cashier what he does when parents come in. He said, well if he's your father, then it's okay. I hope the grey area is apparent at this point. So, is Walgreens required to ask familial relations now?

Matt who answered my call and questions on 1/9/24 was the most pleasant and helpful person at this Walgreens pharmacy about prescription.

Did not carry rigid contact lens solution despite Walgreens website suggesting it is stocked. When asked, manager tried to insinuate that the products had all been shoplifted instead of taking accountability for poor stocking

Truly the worst. If it’s between using this pharmacy and not having your prescription medication, chose the second option. Rude, impatient, condescending pharmacy staff.

Not only did the pharmacist refuse to refill (and blatantly cancel my active request for a refill) my prescription He also lied to me about sending my prior authorization request on the medication knowing I needed that sent ASAP. This isn’t medication one can just stop taking there are serious consequences for me stopping this cold turkey due to his refusal to provide service a service he knew the pharmacy provided. He even confirmed through his records that not only was the prescription fillable but they had filled it before. I’d give one star if possible and I’m certainly going to continue to pursue this

Incredibly rude pharmacist. I arrived for the latest booster shot (1/13/23), and didn't have the documentation for my previous booster that I received a year prior, I couldn't remember the dates but knew it had been more than a year. After a long process of giving all the required information to the assistant, and repeatedly asking me the booster info that I couldn't recall but at no point telling me they wouldn't be able to give me the shot until they had it, the pharmacist came in hot from around the corner to say 'So you can't tell us your recent booster date or produce documentation', I stated yes that was correct, he continued to berate me for that, and then said based off the fact that I can't answer any of his simple questions he "doesn't trust my answers" and won't be able to give me the booster. All of that is fine, the way in which he talks down to people is not. I told him this, and he said, "well sorry I'm the person who has to tell you you need documentation". That was not the issue at all, it would have been preferable up front to be told, I could have retrieved it, and we all moved forward at their next open time, but after that experience I'll never be going back. It's not that hard to talk to people in a civil manner.

I go here because it's the closest location to my house. It's often a mess, like RXes frequently run into issues. I still go because it's again, close to my house. The other day I was there and there was a power surge or something and they needed to reboot all the computers. For some reason, rebooting computers, in 2022, took 30 minutes. My three-year-old needed to go to the bathroom and they wouldn't let us use it. I get it, there are plenty of folks you don't want using the employee bathroom, but toddlers aren't great at holding it til we can leave. Ended up buying pull up diapers for her so she didn't have to have an accident in the store. On top of this, and semi-related, my doctor told me the pharmacist was rude on the phone. I guess I'll start driving to the Northgate location. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I live nearby this store and so I frequent this location. They are very nice people working there and it's one of my son's favorite places to go looking for toy cars :) Very helpful staff and great customer service without hovering!

I signed up on line at 4:30 to get my booster and they changed the time without notifying me and would not give it when I arrived.
