1 month into my employment, I was still dealing with health problems that made it hard to walk or move in general. The Northgate walgreens was hiring, and I asked the store manager Kaila at Ballard if I could transfer to Northgate. She threw a tantrum over text. To salvage the relationship, I apologized for any inconvenience and told her that I no longer needed to transfer (since she was obviously not being receptive). Well, honey, don't chase away all your employees, and maybe they won't wanna transfer. I got to know the Rx Manager Jen, the pharmacy manager Faith, and the store manager Kaila very well. Everyone came to know that faith and Kaila didn't like each other, but they had a mutual dislike for Jen, which was enough to fuel their alliance. Why did they dislike Jen? I don't think anyone will ever know, but it's deep and seemingly pointless. I stuck up for Jen when they talked bad about her, so I became Kaila's target for her passive aggression. She gave me the cold shoulder, the short snappy responses, the fake smiles, she talked over me, she was mean. Just no class, no professionalism, no soul. Her best friend worked with us in the pharmacy. Conflict of interest much? Kaila would come to the pharmacy just to visit with her bestie, drag peoples reputations through the mud, and play favorites. It was not a good look. The way Kaila talked to Jen was really rough and disconnected. Like a "do what I say" and a "what's in it for me" relationship. Faith and Kaila were running Jen ragged, so Jen transferred to Shoreline. Jen was all a lot of us had, and when Jen told us she was leaving because of the way she was treated, other employees made comments like "well if Jen is leaving then so am I". That's how much some of us loved her. She worked every day, and she was supportive. The last week I worked here, the district came in with some corporate lady. They went up to the pharmacist and told him that he's not standing in the right spot and that he needed to stand a few feet closer to the phone. Then they turned all 6 phones up to maximum volume and said we need to answer every single phone call every time the phone rings and that we are not allowed to turn the volume down or we will get written up. Finally, on my last day of work, Kaila went off on my coworker for clocking in before putting his belongings away. She said, "I've seen you do it several times, you clock in, and then you go put your things away. You're not supposed to clock in until you're ready to work." In front of everyone up front by the photo department. The employee ended up in the ER for heart complications that same evening. Kaila treats people poorly. They get sick, terminated, or pushed away. People don't get removed for being wrong or insubordinate. Kaila will make it look like that or deliberately bother you to see if she can get you to step out of line, but the real reason this environment is the way it is, is because of politics. Who likes who and who is friends with who. I finally got legal representation, and I'm the class representative for a class action lawsuit against walgreens for all the laws they've broken. I'm looking forward to the win. One thing about the truth--it always comes out.

This specific pharmacy, along with Walgreens, is likely the worst I have ever dealt with in my entire life. If you don't mind ending up in the emergency room and risking HIPAA compliance, then I'd suggest going here. I filed a formal complaint - good luck. I experienced numerous mistakes at this pharmacy, including an incident with someone named Danielle who hung up on me, and an individual potentially intentionally deleting a prescription that was verified ready to be picked up. Despite requesting information about the responsible party and filing a formal complaint, there has been no call back or response. I would recommend choosing an alternative to Walgreens. The only possible way to get a response and information on who has access to your chart is to subpoena your records. I'd stay as far as this place as you could.

Every time I come into Walgreens they have absolutely no carts you have to hold all your items in your hands. They stare at you like this stealing not enough people at the registers

I've only had positive experiences filling prescriptions here. Not sure why other reviews are so negative.

Came in for hand lotion and was yelled at by cashier. I Wanted to pay with My otc benefits but there was a issue with balance, so i went to put item back and grab a smaller size tube that was less expensive when the cashier started screaming at me to pay like I was stealing and then they brought someone out to stare me down the rest of the time I was in the store as some intimidation tactic after they treated me like a criminal. I will never shop here again.

Lazy and unsafe pharmacy. Don’t go here. The pharmacy tech closed the pharmacy early, denying us an antibiotic. Now we’re trying to decide if we need to go to the emergency room

The pharmacy here is absolutely awful. I don’t know her name, but one of the pharmacy employees with black hair has been incredibly rude to me for absolutely NO reason every time I’ve been in. Their drive through pharmacy also takes forever—I’ve been sitting here for half an hour and only 2 cars have gotten out so far. Been at the window for 5, and no one has even acknowledged I’m here.

Heya, came to visit outta state.. Go here if you like to be followed and made uncomfortable because all of the employees. They really need work on customer service there. I get it there are legit shoplifting issue, but guess learn to deal with that and prepare instead of making hard working customers uncomfortable that they don't buy from there..like the Safeway across the street treated me better than here

This pharmacy has been fully staffed and better lately. And there are a lot of worse pharmacies in the area. The rest of the store is terrible but this is a very convenient drug store to get to by bus. I would be sad if they closed it.

Why??? Why is the pharmacy staff so rude ? normally I don’t care how people working service jobs/customer service treat me because I know they are probably overworked/underpaid/mistreated. I’ve been there, I’ve worked retail many times.BUT - the woman at the pharmacy counter was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered in my life for no reason!! I went in for a Covid shot and she was mad that I forgot to do the paperwork online (ok, fair, I should’ve done that, no need to be rude though). She had me sit and wait to get the paperwork while she helped the rest of the line. I decided to do the paperwork online while I was waiting and got up to stand in line to let her know - then she rudely told me “you already wasted my paper” and made me fill it out anyway? I truly do not understand treating people this way. She treated everyone in line the same way, making people repeat themselves over and over, generally being incredibly rude to everyone. Clearly this is an ongoing problem looking at other reviews. I hope she finds another line of work because there’s an inherent power dynamic between pharmacy staff and customers. I’ve had bad days too working in health care but I would never talk to someone like that :(

Horrible customer service at pharmacy.Plan at least :30 min to pick up a prescription. They are very slow and also scattered. I’ve been in line for 10 min. Behind one other person. They can’t find anything and are all very stressed. If there is a manager - please do something.Turns out I can’t get my prescription because the computer system is having problems- 2nd time I’ve had thatLast week- I had just had oral surgery and bloody gauze hanging out of my mouth and the pharmacy woman refused to look up my prescription by my ID - she made me talk and was very annoyed. Told me it would be 25 min for pick up. Texted that prescription was ready 5 min later after I left store. I’m general the pharmacy staff is always stressed and off putting.

Horrendous customer service at pharmacy. Expect 30 - 60min wait time for any call. If you are greeted by a male voice, the employee is new, clueless, and unlikely to be helpful. Then, if you do get in contact with the actual pharmacist, you will receive inconsistent messaging and completely new issues with your prescription. Then, expect yet another 25 -50 minute wait when you finally come to pick up the prescription.Pharmacy issues aside, the interior of the store looks atrocious. It's very aged and unkempt. With this level of mismanagement, I would be equally as rude and inefficient were I their employee. The only reason this location stays open is due to brand recognition and being on an great intersection for business.

The pharmacy's ability to fill prescriptions is unreliable. The customer service is unprofessional and slow (be ready to wait in line, even during non peak times). Despite calling in the morning they were unable to have it ready same day but assured us it would be ready by 1pm the next day. I arrived the following day at 7pm and was told they did not have it but it could be available in 45 minutes. The Customer rep was not interested in assisting and would not check the system to trouble shoot what had gone wrong. She even kept her back to us despite questions so we gave up and left. Switching RX to a different company and location, this one is not worth the waste of time or rudeness.
