This has always been a special place in Seattle and I hope they’re able to stick around forever. Brick & mortar stores are still needed for an environment and physical shopping aspect and there are times when Wall of Sound have vinyl that is too expensive or impossible to find online.

Been shopping with these folks since I moved here 14 years ago, and am always surprised by how intuitively knowledgeable they are. I once asked Michael for something unique, mentioning I was into some pretty nuanced IDM tracks from Nicolas Jaar but had been otherwise listening to a lot of African Fuzz from the 70s. He pulled what is now one of the prized records of my collection, Criola by Denis Mpunga, seamlessly integrating both genres with a single record from an obscure label I’ve since fallen in love with.
These are genuinely lovely humans with decades of learned opinions and an incredibly curated selection. Highly recommend.

This record store in Seattle is hands down my favorite! It's so well put together. The owner always suggests the best stuff, spot-on based on what I've liked before. It's all about that 'less is more' vibe here. Plus, the records come with detailed notes, which is super helpful. Really hope this place sticks around! Huge shoutout to the owner for the awesome recommendations. I appreciate it a ton!

A small music store with a fairly light selection. It's wide open inside with loads of space to move. There are some CDs in all genres, although it's not comprehensive for any and felt weak compared to other stores in the area. Same goes for records. You won't be able to dig here for hours to find that hidden gem since they're all on the surface.

Such a sweet spot, yelp is not giving this place the justice it deserves. All sorts of music, and it's just a tiny little spot so you aren't getting overloaded with mainstream stuff, you're as deep as it gets, and it is good rare stuff. Everything was decently priced, it was refreshing compared to other record shops.

Still the best, most interesting and eclectic record shop in town.

I have visited Wall of Sound many times as it is only a few blocks from my place. Knowledgeable staff, great selection of vinyl that you just don't see in other record stores. This means, they curate their selection to be a little bit more unique. Love recording of the Cure, check. Years of Denial- what, you've never heard of them? Neither had I until I went online to do a quick listen. Snagged that one as well. Ambient vinyl here if you just need to chill after a long day at work. Ask for suggestions as the two men can send you home with some treasures. They also have a loyalty card as well.

A must-visit record shop for me while visiting Seattle. Smallish store with incredible selection of avant garde jazz, noise, improv, electronic, etc. vinyl, CDs, and tapes.
