The huge gravel rocks they have in the start of the park cut my dogs paw. It got infected and cost me money and time + my dog's suffering. I just learned I wasn't alone in this. Magnuson needs to put down safer gravel for dogs.

This is the best off-leash dog park I’ve ever been to. It’s HUGE, and all of it is fenced in, including the area around the dog beach. And, yes, there is a dog beach!! FYI, I have not been to other parts of the park so my review is specific to the dog park area.
Dog-friendliness: Dog park is off-leash, fenced in, and huge!

If your dog likes to be around other dogs, this park is great. It has a small and big dog section, and also features a long walk with your dog to a nearby water area for them to play.

It's the biggest doggie park I've ever seen. There are all kinds of pathways and play areas within the park. They even have a beachfront for dogs. You'll love it!

Lovely park with a good small dog area. The main area entrance is under construction but there is still a hose for water available. There's a path to the beach area but it's a loose gravel walk, can get a little warm on the sunny days.

New to Washington and I kept hearing suggestions to come here. Now I understand why! The park has a few areas that look like a regular dog park but then there is a walkway that continues back to a dog beach area. I will mention that I appreciate all the 'air locks' between the path and the beach. I was worried if my dog ran ahead he would just have access to the water before I caught up, but that was definitely not the case. We've been here a few times now and everyone has been super friendly.

This off leash dog park is quite impressive. Very large area plus a place for the pups to swim on lake Washington. There is also access to a non off leash trails for extended walking. We live in Bellingham, but will take time to visit when down in Seattle.
Dog-friendliness: Everything you need at the dog park is here.

I love Magnuson park, and so does my girl.
The off leash area is huge; there’s room to play, room to walk, room to swim, and room to play some more.
In general, the other people and pooches have been just fine. I come often and have yet to witness anything ghastly, which is a nice reprieve.
The entrance smells pretty strongly of urine, from all the pished-on-gravel, but don’t give up and keep it trucking! The smell disappears a couple yards ahead.
If your dog enjoys the water, take the not-nothing-but-still-simple walk to the beachfront. Great rocks and low tide there.
Playground: There’s a cute playground across the way from the main entrance—none in the off-leash area.
Restrooms: Often portable toilets available—rarely not, for maintanence.
Dog-friendliness: Self-explanatory—this place is for the dawgs!
