This bank performs with the height of incompetence and no regard for norms of treating their customers as humans. I have the misfortune of dealing with them for my mortgage, and they choose to not communicate about anything important until the last minute, when they threaten legal action instead of issuing a normal reminder.

TERRIBLE bank and Worse customer service ever. I lost my card and it took them about a month to get me a new card. The bank teller lady have the the worst attitude when I want to ask her about my card. I didn't have access to my own money for about a month. When I requested to speak to the manager the close my account. DO NOT BANK WITH THEM IF YOU WANT YOUR MONEY.

I love my local WaFd bank. I would give 5 stars but wish my statements came in the mail with only the last 4 acct. digits on them vs. ALL of my info there. Sometimes my mail gets in someone else's box. I worry about someone else getting one of my statements and then having ALL of my personal info & acct #. I prefer statements by mail vs. email. Could the main headquarters please change the statements so only the last 4 acct. #'s show on all of our mailed and emailed statements? Thank you!

Very disgusting employees at the front desk. That type that makes you want to vomit because they are so rude/aggressive. Very very rude. I even tried speaking to the guy that runs the building and he was also very rude and did not care what I had to say. You know that type of people that makes you vomit just by their personalities? These are it ! Very unprofessional. Please let me know if there anyone else I can speak to about this ! I hold a grudge for a long time.and I can not accept the way these nasty so called employees treated me. I truly do demand an apology!

Last December when I opened a savings and checking account at Wafd, I was very impressed with the helpful, friendly bankers. The only glitches in the process were caused by the ****************************** and ***** Fargo. At first receiving ***********, using an ATM, and issuing checks went well. But, I soon learned that as long as I didn't need anything through the online bank, my experiences continued to be good. But the online experience can be frustrating. Wafd's software seems to be old and clunky. It doesn't allow me to do the types of activities I can do within my USAA account. I will probably not close the account, but I will down grade my usage to minimal old-fashioned style banking.

Started charging my account $10/month until it went to zero. What a ripoff. Then I called and they said they’d take care of it. They did not take care of it.

Still deciding. Took over a month to get my debit card. Outside of the delay the service is decent. Accounts are packed with benefits.

Typical old school bank, overdraft fees, min monthly balance. I had a free account with Bank of America, but that all changed with out any agreement from me. Now if I have no money in my account wafd says ok we pay that, on snap just kidding we returned the charge. So we know you don't have to funds to cover this charge, bam $35 overdraft fee. Now your account is in in the negative, if this is not corrected you will charged another fee? How is this legal, in these trying times I have to deal with old school banking? Let me out. I can open an account online but how do I close it? No information on their website. I have joined this BANK OVERDRAFT FEE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT INVESTIGATION,

Besides the fact about moving money from one account to the other, I really have grown to like this bank much more. They use Zelle which my husband seems to have trouble with, but it is a nice neighborhood bank and the tellers are sweet and helpful.

Good friendly service, always quick. It is a prime location, but a bit small inside. ATM is on NE corner of building.

Good grief! Go anywhere else if you can! Over a year ago we opted out of the escrow portion of our mortgage, IN WRITING, confirmed by WA Fed (I have ALL paperwork). Last month they sent a letter saying our escrow account was short. Wait, what? Then I see that they paid our half yearly property taxes...... what??? I call and find out they they just had us as opted out of our home owners insurance and not the property taxes...... sheeeeesh. What a mess!!! Now they want their $$$ back - obviously - for paying our property taxes "On your behalf" (I didn't want you to, WA Fed!!!) AND they are being snotty and copping an attitude, when it's THEIR mistake. They don't return phone calls, they misplace documents, their customer service is awful. Please do your research and do not give this bank your business!

I've had a great experience with Downtown Seattle Office. Thank you, Patty Carman (Assistant Branch Manager) and Alana (bank teller) for helping me to solve my problem. I appreciate your attention, patience and cooperation.
