I'm so happy this tool library exists. I've borrowed a dozen tools in the last 4 months.

These guys go out of their way to help you with any projects. Also fixed my coffee machine for half of what it would have cost me to send it in!

Amazing community resource! Have just about every tool you can imagine. Great not having to buy tools that you might only need once. To people saying they stopped by and no one was there: it's staffed by volunteers, so don't expect it to be able to staff like a for-profit business.

Such a gift to the community! Just about any non-gas powered tool you could imagine. Even weird stuff and accessories. I borrow an electric lawn mower every/other week. And other tools for home and auto care regularly. Check out tools for a suggested donation/ what you can pay/ free with membership, which is also a donation of suggested small amount, or free for those who need it to be. The volunteers who run the library are great, knowledgeable and friendly.

Fantastic local resource, especially for new/first time homeowners. Great way to give power tools a test spin to decide what/if to buy, awesome range of sturdy garden tools, solution-oriented small staff. Have not used workshop yet but looking forward to it. Prices are very reasonable, check out/in easy, easy to round up a few dollars to cover transaction fees and make it easier for others to use sliding scale. Using their equipment, we reconditioned our lawn/flower beds, deconstructed original kitchen cupboards, raised beams, etc etc- crucial asset during COVID year. Best to go in person vs call/email, FYI.

I moved to West Seattle 2 years ago and the house needed some yard work. I didn’t want to buy new equipment, and somebody recommended to me this Library. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable, prices are such a good deal to rent the equipment, and they have everything you can imagine! Highly recommend to support this library

West Seattle Tool Library is a small community facility which is on the back of a school. Most of the tools are old but functional. The tool library serves the community very well and takes away the big need to buy and own equipment which is sparingly used.

I've been using the west Seattle tool library for over 10 years and these guys are great. They do a great job with the tiny space they have and they have all but replaced my shop. They have all the essential tools and are always willing to help with some strange task I am trying to do. I just hope they don't get too much demand for the little space they have for the shop.
