I took my 89 Chevy 2500 here because it was stalling and not starting, and he was able to give me a quick diagnosis after just a few minutes looking over the engine. I replaced the component he indicated and now my truck runs great again!

I had a great experience with Michael. He did a complete engine swap for my 2000 Tacoma. He found that the first replacement engine had water in the prior to installing in my truck. After ordering the second engine he went right to work and completed it in good time. He also found and replaced various parts throughout the process that were damaged or in need of replacement. He did not charge unnecessary labor costs other shops, that "follow the book," would have. I.e. water pump, intake and exhaust manifolds etc.... He's a straight forward, no nonsense kind of guy that was very communicative throughout the process. I will have no worries about bringing future mechanical issues to his shop.

I was in dire need of a place to have my car towed and inspected. Mike was more than willing to give me a place after every other place had told me no. He gave me the best and worst case scenario with my car and I appreciate his honesty and transparency. He’s solid and I recommend you direct your business to him because he will be honest about the work that needs to potentially get done.

I knew this business owner 100 years ago (give or take) when he worked in the dealership service department I went to. Wouldn't trust anybody else with my vehicles, hands down. Fair, honest, and extremely knowledgeable.

So far so good. My first time.The owner Mike seems to try to cut the cost of repair by combining jobs.I'm excited to have him do some more work. He is nice and has years of experience.

Thought Grips Automotive was a decent repair shop but I will no longer be using their services. I had a power steering pump leak and I took it to grips for repair. They replaced several hoses and lines and when I brought it home is still leaked! I took it to another shop and they stopped the leak by replacing a 10 dollar hose clamp. They also noted that the power steering lines that were "replaced" looked pretty old. terrible experience!
