“I love these apartments! I use to live here years ago.. decades ago. I lived here with the love of my life, his uncle and our infant son. I was a teen mom at 19 so I was probably 19-21 when living here.I would commute from Sea-Tac to Sequim weekly for work.. so I actually lived here only 3 days a week.. sometimes I would get to stay longer. Depended on work. The first year I stayed here was full time bc I was a new mama! I wanted to be with my son~ our son. I worked 4 ten hour shifts and would drive after work with my son to Sequim and stay 3 nights here with my love and travel back and stay with my mom & family the rest of the week.. I really miss this place~ I have fond memories of Sequim.. the apartments were rather basic. I am trying to tell by the pictures which apartment we lived in and I'm pretty sure it was building B but then again, everything has changed so much and there wasn't the other apartments around us if I remember correctly... I always loved the courtyard~ I'm really glad they've kept this place up and it looks just as nice if not nicer than it did in 1986-1988. I remember that the sun shined every day into our apartment. That's due to the Banana Belt! The sun shines everyday in Sequim at least once bc of the banana belt~ It was perfect for our tiny patio to grow tomatoes and we did just that! My son's father was much older than me and good at everything it seemed.. especially working with his hands. He was also an amazing guitarist and musician.. He was even teaching me guitar until we moved here then I guess being a mom & working to keep busy caused me to grow away from it and that's one of my biggest life regrets bc I was learning flat pic electric guitar and getting good. This place also was in a Good Location! My mom would come to stay on occasion and she loved Bell Hill! We could look up and see Bell Hill from our apartment building ~ I just now remembered that while typing this. Now my mom and dad both are gone, both buried in Quilcene.. the little town next to Sequim~ My love and his uncle .. gone as well. They've all been gone a very long time but memories of 300 South Sunnyside will always live on in my heart, mind, soul and spirit bc I know they are all with me and looking down upon me~ I would definitely recommend these apartments no matter what age you are! Respect your landlord.. keep things clean like we always did, and just be a good person~ and if you happen to move into a middle apartment that the stairs lead up to; Know that at one time years ago that apartment was filled with love & hope. Sadly, these apartments also were the last place I seen my true love at ~ he waved goodbye to me on one average sunny day as I drove away & I will never forget that feeling when looking back at him several times as he watched me drive off until he could no longer see me or me see him as I kept looking back over my shoulder. At the time I didn't know it.. but I felt it, I knew something was off. Little did I know he & his uncle would move shortly after that... down to where he grew up...California. He wanted nicer weather & maybe wanted a different lifestyle, but what I do know is he didn't find what he was looking for and wanted to come back to me after I finally met another love over a decade later..I almost got back with him but he called one night while I was at work and my husband I'm with today said he answered the phone and told him.. it was too late.. he had missed out and he never should have left me and our son. My husband was right (fiancé then) ... bc I would have probably had to deal with more pain & headache.. as he overdosed that same year.. which my son & I didn't find out until 2 years later~ I don't know and never will know if it was bc I moved on and didn't have him fly up and see me (that was a plan we had talked about), or maybe he became addicted due to his migraine headaches.? I have no clue but I do know he left us. Myself and our son deserved better. We had a hard life for a”
