My Mother in law has an account at edward jones. While other place charge nothing or very little in commissions this firm charged a $5 transaction fee and over 600 dollars commission to buy 200 shares of SPY a simple ETF of the S&P 500. No wonder there are so many of the Edward Jones offices in town.
