Hardy's Mercantile, is one of those rare businesses that offers not only great bargains on nice, used furniture but is also owned and operated by two truly kind and wonderful people. My Dad now lives in Sequim Washington, while we, his son and daughter-in-law, still live in California. My Dad is on a fixed income and the ability to find affordable used furniture that is also in great shape has been huge for him.Mike and his wife have always gone above and beyond to help my Dad not only aquire much needed furniture that he can afford, but they also delivered it for him the same day. That means so much to us and too my dad.We highly recommend stopping by and checking out their selection of furniture. Hardy's Mercantile is a very special business ran by wonderful people. Please go by and give them your business.

We have bought and sold many things with Mike and found him to be totally fair and reputable. We love this shop and always find something interesting to buy. Many times we will trade up and Mike will sell our trade in for a good price.

I love the people that work in this place! Just the kindest example of what Sequim community is like. They have so many different bits of furniture and art that changes weekly. I wish I had never shipped all of the things when I moved here because it would've cost a lot less to just buy cool stuff from them. I opened a business year and furnished it completely with things that I bought from them. I highly recommend you check them out! And they deliver!

Mr. Hardy came to my house to pick up several antique furniture and vases of mine to sell on consignment, he said we'd do the paper work later...as it was in the evening. I had no reason to not trust him, so I agreed. The following weeks, we could never seem to get together, or after covid hit, I noticed his store had a closed sign on the door. He did not return my phone calls. When I finally confronted him, he became very rude and loud...said he sold my things, and did not remember who to or for how much. One item was a 1903 oak sideboard from Sears. And the value of my things was in the $4 to $5 thousand dollar bracket. He cursed me on the phone and hung up on me several times. I am a 77 yr old widow, and I had a heart issue after dealing with him.I am yet to get any satisfaction. I did hear he sold some to the buyer at Fort Worden in Port Townsend. I am going to let them know they are buying stolen furniture.Sellers and Buyers...beware.

The day before the statewide closure due to COVID, I purchased a dresser and cabinet from Hardy’s. The owner and staff were extremely knowledgeable and friendly, and had great advice on repurposing pieces for other uses (in my case, bathroom vanities). Their prices were the best I had seen for sturdy, stylish, quality pieces, and were much more reasonably priced than ReStore, Serenity, and other resale shops. PLUS, they delivered my purchases to Port Angeles for a very reasonable delivery fee. I am extremely happy with the pieces I purchased, and I can’t wait to shop there again for other items to decorate my home. Make Hardy’s your first stop for all your resale furniture needs. You won’t be sorry.
